What is the most that you'd spend on a handbag?

My Frange was $3150 and I don't know the Mussette but I think it was $1700 $1800?? My husband brought it back from Asia for me.

At the moment, the most I paid for a bag was my Baby Luella Giselle - it was £395. I have a Marc Jacobs Elise that was more expensive than that - but I bought it half price in the LVR sale for £270ish. I have just ordered a half price Chloe Silverado in the NAP sale - it's £451 so that will be my most expensive. I have this mental block in my mind for spending more than £500 - I just don't think I could do it.

So far, the Chloe paddy i've got coming is top of my list, at just over £500...

Wow, that's hot Do you have insurance on that bag?

I'm thinking about getting insurance actually. Some other members have insurance on their birkins and it sounds like it may be a worthwhile investment.

A few months ago I thought spending over $1000 was simply ludicrous!! But now, I own 4 bags over that mark. But seeing others on this forum spending thousands on a bag makes my heart flutter. There's a limit I won't go over, and I think for me it is $2000. Even when I'm a doctor and making good money, I don't think I could ever justify that to myself, especailly when I have kids around to save for!!
What about you, what's your handbag price limit?????

At this moment in time, I think that $1500 is my limit. I have a couple Paddington bags, and Balenciaga bags, but when I bought a Jimmy Choo Ramona bag for 2k, I fuilt "guilty" and ended up returning it even thought I it!

Scary as it sounds, I don't have one. As long as I have what I need, can save for a wonderful retirement and in general take care of business, whatever amount I can afford I will spend. Good question too! I had started pondering this when I heard about the birkin at SCP for $168,000.00. I had to ask myself if given the opportunity, would I spend that much on a bag, and it started me thinking about what limits I have imposed on my bag expenditures.

my limit for a bag is 1200-1500, but last week i spend on 3 bags & wallet on amount of 5000$, and now i'm selling my old bags to cover up my guilt & pocket

Sadly I can justify spending any amount on a bag. Now what I can readily afford is a different question entirely.

For RIGHT now, it's no more than $1,000.

Now, I can buy a bag for about $2,000, have enormous guilt over it and then end up returning it (bought a couple of Chanels and simply could not live with myself for spending SO much money on a bag...but that's just me personally!). But if I buy a bag for about $1k (or less!!!!!) and know that I will get a lot of use out of it for many years, I'm fine with the price. However, I wouldn't spend that much money on something that is VERY delicate (for example, lambskin) or for special occasions only (for example, clutches, etc.).
