I'm also thinking about a LV but feel a little bit repelled by the attitude of LV carrying women. Don't know if that is something that happens only here, but boy....

A girl friend and I saw this behaviour in Moynat recently and she wasn't even carrying a croc Birkin, just a normal leather Birkin!Nothing wrong with having a chuck-around bag from another brand. It's true many go to LV because it's the first place they think of when defining what a 'designer' bag is. The mono print is so internationally and immediately recognised and the NF and Ss are sold at a competitive price points they have become the 'starter bags' for many (I hate that phrase but it's accurate here) but there is nothing wrong with carrying LV, it's part of a range of heritage luggage and the coated canvas was made for bad weather.
Some of the ladies that carry that certain 'smugness' along with their LV do so because it may be their only 'proper' bag, their outward expression is more a projection of what someone carrying a designer bag should look like and how to behave like, a form of self-consciousness and over compensating for shyness. I would feel sorry for them if they weren't using their HG as a weapon. It's not exclusive to LV or any brand followers though, the worst case I saw was a young woman carrying a Bleu Brighton croc Birkin and ordering her slave around Harrods in London. As for the sheer number of NFs and Ss around, more than half I see are fakes. .
That care-free quality and durability is one of the main reasons I'm thinking of getting one. Also love the travel history behind the brand.

OMG - I know exactly how you feel. I, too have looked and admired bags from other designers but am hesitant to pull the trigger. Just recently, I looked at a Diorissimo and a Chanel was so close to purchasing and at the last second I couldn't do it. In my head I kept saying, for x price, I can get an H item or save for my future H item! I haven't bought a non H bag in years!
That being said, I do have a LV that my husband purchased for our 10th anniversary in Paris. I sold my Neverfull but could never bring myself to sell this one. It's honestly one go my favorite "throw around" bags - I use it when I travel, as a work tote and on rainy days. It's one of my most used bags and I love that I don't have to worry about it, the way I worry about my H bags.
I would look into buying a preloved LV - the prices are decent, it can scratch your itch and you can use it when it rains or in an environment where you might not feel comfortable carrying an H bag (amusement park comes to mind for me).
Best of luck!!!!
Wise words!!
you are right. Probably I tend to think that this has something to do with LV as they are literally everywhere where I live. Nevertheless I really like the neverfull and am on the edge to buy one. My husband hates logoprinted bags. Hmmmmmmmmmmm. Well, my money, my logobag![]()

My first designer bag was a monogram Speedy, 40 years ago, which I still have! I still like the original LV bags, like the Speedy, Alma, Noe, ecc....As many have said here I use LV as a workhorse throw around bag. In my case it's a Sofia Coppola monogram which has been through just about everything and is still fine. I also have a total Vacchetta Alma, bought around 20 years ago and another leather SC bag. I would like to buy a Noé PM one day, hopefully a total Vacchetta one, but they don't turn up often. I've never been a fan of Epi leather.
.
My DH hates logo bags too, which is too bad, because I really love the look of mono canvas where the vachetta is really well-used and patina'd. If he's just "meh" on a bag I love, I'll still buy it, but I have trouble spending that much money on something he really hates. To be fair, thoug, he wouldn't buy something I really hated either.
