Just chiming in here to show yet another beautiful coated canvas bag that isn't LV, it's the Etro Milano Boston bag. Mine is their iconic paisley pattern and it's so much like the Speedy (which I used to have but grew tired of the monogram pattern). I too wanted the Speedy style in a coated canvas bag and found this Etro brand to be well worth it.
The quality is impeccable and it has a very large inside zippered pocket which is a nice bonus.
The vachetta handles are exactly like the LV Speedy handles but this is a bag that I don't see anyone carrying around me plus I've always loved paisley prints so it's a win for me. I added my own canvas strap for those times I might need to carry it on my shoulder but usually I just use it as a top handle bag. Please excuse the weird shadows on my bag, this photo was taken in sunlight.

Your bag is beautiful. I want to say understated, though it has some liveliness
Etro is a wonderful line. I never paid much attention to their handbags. I was attracted to their scarves.
In fact, I was going to wear one tonight to dinner with my H Kelly, but it rained.

Thank you, I was shocked to research the company after I purchased my bag. I loved the bag which is why I bought it and then discovered it was made by a high end couture house out of Italy whose specialty is their unique paisley prints.....and yes, they are known for scarves but also clothing, bags, etc.
Thanks, yes they are known for their lovely scarves and their unique prints but they also make beautiful bags and clothing as well.
I believe it's the S/S 2016 print and the store said they only had very last few left this season. But I think they will do another version next summer.

Gorgeous Etro bag. I had one in the same paisley pattern but a shoulder bag, it must have been about 30 years ago. I have no idea what's happened to it, I must have sold it, but seeing yours reminded me of it.....I would still use it today if I still had it!
30 years ago, wow! It's interesting that they're still making this bag as it's offered on their website. It's obviously one of their classics and I can tell you from experience that the small details on this bag do surpass those of the LV Speedy (please know this is MY opinion only !)
The Speedy is a wonderful and lightweight, carefree bag but so is the Etro. It has additional leather strips on either side of the top zipper which will discourage cracking near the zipper. It has a reinforced metal piece on the zipper pull which will discourage that from ripping off. The inside pocket zips and is much larger than on the Speedy.
All in all I find it quite perfect and carefree. Mine is pre-loved but in wonderful condition and now I don't need to worry about the vachetta because it's already perfectly aged.
I'm now hoping to add the matching cosmetic pouch in the same pattern!
If H is a Ferrari, then LV is a BMW. Sometimes, you just want to run a quick errand and/or not attract much attention. In those instances, it's fine to take out the Beamer. But yeah, huge difference between quality, price, and perceived elitism.
