I live in the West of Ireland (but I'm British) where designer bags are few and far between. I daresay Dublin is different as the capital city, but I live a few miles outside Limerick. Just after Christmas you'll see a rake of designer bags. Although women here love and carry bags they don't seem that bothered about high-end ones and wear all sorts of funky styles. I've seen a few Paddingtons, but the brand I see most often here is Gucci. Strangely, I have seen very few MJ's here and in fact the MJ department at our one and only high-end store seems to have been discontinued. And there's no sign of Balenciaga in Limerick! The high-end store definitely favours Gucci above all else. And then Chloe. Milan also seemed to be over-run by Gucci last time I was there, about two years ago.

This is a very interesting post. I moved from Las Vegas to Vancouver WA/ Portland OR area and the difference is WOW. In Vegas you saw real and fake of everything. In this area I see mostly Coach and sad but true mostly FAKE. I do see some LV but again FAKE.

Well, it's a very sad state of affairs where I live. I rarely see anything other than Radley bags and some very boring non-descript bags which are unidentifiable. However I did see someone wearing a Mulberry (Zinia I think) and the other day I spotted someone in my local supermarket with a small brown leather Prada shoulder bag tucked under her arm - so there's hope yet!
