Amazonia Suomi mainittu, torilla tavataan!
But yeah nice to see other finns in here, I tought I were quite alone in my love with designer handbags. And jeah, you can also spot quite many Longchamp, Furla, Michael Korss and Ted Baker bags that I didn't mention. But I think those are more contemporary designers thought? Not sure
Yeah, torille! Pave Maijanen mukaan!
A few of us Finns are lurking in here, since there isn't a Finnish bag blog or anywhere to discuss bags. And who wants to live like that?
I don't think MK is a designer, he just copycats others and that isn't really an achievement. His bags don't really count in my book.
Furla and TB are pure contemporary designers but LC on the other hand is slowly making a leap toward a bigger series. It's kinda in the middle of contemporary and something else. I've seen some of Amazones and other pricier designs on certain types of people in Helsinki, which is interesting because I'm thinking LC is taking over some of the old Mulberry people. There just aren't many brands that have the same kind of old school, non-fuss approach to style.
On the other hand, there is the more contemporary side to LC and their special editions and that's also another thing they have in common with the old M. And when I think old M, I don't think the same kind of premier than Chanel or H, but not really 100% contemporary either (no matter what the classification on the PF is).
The LC leather bags are a rarer occurrence anywhere but Helsinki, but you see those a few times a month in Turku and Tampere as well. I think it's a lot to do with the fact that it's harder to come by the leather styles and also because bag snobs are still a bit of a rare occurrence here!
If Finns do go for a designer is mostly done by teenagers and it's usually done so that EVERYONE has the same kind of bag (like it was LC LP in 2000 and MK in 2010). Also a blooming market for MK bags in Tallinn has done a lot. MK Voyager totes right and left, real and fakes.
