Constant price hikes n the current gravity defying price of classic flaps ( it's about SGd$15k now) irks me especially recent quality of these bags have gone completely southwards with thinner n softer caviar leather. Was thinking of adding a juane to my collection but the quality makes me go Eeeks! Check out especially the base of the bags ladies, they r definitely much much softer to the point that U can bend them like as if something is missing n certainly not as sturdy as bags of yesteryears. I m concerned if the base can hold up n not sag if items r put in the bags

My unpopular opinion is sling backs (and other shoes) are outdated and kind of ugly. If they weren’t Chanel, I think most would hate them. (I say this as someone who owns multiple pairs)
For me slingbacks just aren’t comfortable. I feel like the heel clicks and clacks as I walk which I find extremely annoying. I just much prefer a fully closed heel shoe or completely open like a sandal. Slingbacks are neither here nor there for me. Mary Jane’s however are so my jam. I find that style is so comfortable. Chanel ballerinas are timeless in my opinion.

My UO is that I didn’t really believe most of the comments complaining about the quality changes in rtw.
but now I am a member of the “if you know, you know”. I have had issues with every single rtw from 2023 - buttons, rips, lining, pilling, stitches! All of it. The worst being my buttons “literally” falling off while sitting at work- and adding that the cc imprinted logo scratched off two of the main jacket buttons that go with the pants. Not one but 5 of them on the same day on pants that I have only worn 2x (to my office). Extremely dissapointed with what used to be one of my favorite rtw brands.

Not really a big point of discussion, but I prefer chevron to quilted in most Chanel bags. It feels more modern.

I also don't really get the wild appeal of Chanel tweed jackets but maybe that's just because I don't own one and haven't tried one on. They always strike me as rather matronly, even on young women, and seem like they'd be hard to keep nice.

Some of these jackets (clothing) were extremely well made, like a piece of artwork, every little details etc, very enjoyable to even just look through it. And some designs are modern and classic, even they maybe vintage pieces.

This season spring sale items are so ugly. I’ve seen some bad designs in the past but this sale just takes the cake with the number of ugly offerings. Actually I’ve found a lot of the spring summer Rtw and shoe designs to be quite ugly. I don’t understand the skimpy clothes and midriffs showing and bows and other nonsense. What I find frustrating about Chanel Rtw is either it’s super matronly or looks juvenile like something out of that catalogue with teen clothes from the nineties with skater themes. You Gen x may remember. The name is escaping me.

Edit: now I remember - Delia’s
