Excited and panicking to receive!!! Injured on vacation and under the influence of pain meds, apparently I went shopping. Came home to HUBBS asking what I got and have zero recollection of bidding on auction item. Arrives Monday!! Trocadero 23 Supposed to be certified authentic but still worried.

UPDATE: bag came in and it’s in pretty solid shape like the original photo showed. There’s a little grommet missing at the strap and the inside pocket is a little grotty so I won’t use it but even though it “looked clean” when I received it I decided to still give it the once over and WOW!

My 1996 Alma I've posted in different places on tPF. It's pristine!
I used the brush on metal, and to get crud out of hard to get spots like in between zipper, but mostly used the Q-tips. I've seen YT videos using other circular brushes to bring out the leather sheen as well.
They call the colour Kenyan Fawn, which is a reddish brown. It's a beautiful shade. But there is also a filter on the photo

Hi all , I just found this thread .. Im soo new to this vintage LV world and suddenly I found an excitement to dig the vintage world ( okay , I admit..I loveeee watching YT LV restoration videos 
) I was a bit of tired atm chasing new items , stalking the website and bugging my CS every second day asking for stocks 
So long story short , I just got TP26 from the late 70’s and Compeigne from late 80’s from a local shop for no money ( I spent both total little over €120. I plan to restore them to its glory..(crossed fingers I dont screw it up!) to kill my dissapointment of not getting the new items I want and planned travel cancellation
Any of you have done some DIY restoration ? The TP26 looks great but dirty..The compeigne on the other hand is really bad shape
Or is there any DIY restoration thread here ?

After not buying any LV's for a few years I found myself in need of a travel bag that I could carry over my shoulder I have always loved the Flanerie and would flip flop about purchasing one. Well, I found one from 1996 this week in really good condition and I am impatiently waiting for it's delivery.
I also bought a Deauville from 1998 that looks brand new this week. I did not know that I needed this bag until I was in Dillard's a few weeks ago. I fell in love with the shape and the organization the inside provides. I haven't decided if it will only be a travel bag or a work bag yet. Anyway, I did not buy it at Dillard's because I think their LV prices are ridiculous. I am also waiting for this one to arrive. There are really great prices on this bag right now on the preloved market.
I also have a 1993 Speedy that looks fantastic with a deep honey patina. I will take a group shop of my vintage LVs when these two come in.

My Flanerie came today a 1996 piece. It's in amazing condition and just gorgeous. It was very well taken care of and the honey patina is even on the whole bag. I'm in Lvoe. It be a great carry on companion. 
I owned this bag years ago and sold it to fund a new bag. I regretted for quite some time after. It’s a beauty!!
