Oh, I definitely purchased pre-owned. But they are in nice vintage condition with very minimal flaws. There is a spot on the Petit Noe that the canvas cracked along with the Vachetta strap, but you cannot see it at all, you literally have to tug at the Vachetta for it to be noticeable. The only reason this is disappointing to me is that LV likely will not replace the Vachetta along the top of the bag, which I was hoping to do eventually, but they don’t repair any part of bags that have cracked canvas as far as I am aware.
Well, you got some beauties for sure. I have seen purserehab.com on Instagram, and they’ve shown repairs on Louis Vuitton and Goyard bags- as far as fixing the canvas. They cut a part out then stitch it.
I was going to have them clean the handles of my Balenciaga City bag. All you have to do is email them photos and they give you a quote. I haven’t used them yet, but it might be worth a chat with them.

Thanks for the info, to me it really is still a nice bag, but I don’t want the damage to go any thurther. Thank you for your recommendation!!!

Here's my mom passed on vintage monceau 26 and side by side with it's modern sibling Metis. The monceau is currently in repair with LV, all replenish and revarnishing quoted price cost my arms and legs more exxy than what my mom paid the Monceau in the 90s. Even my SA thinks I'm overdoing it she said why not get a new bag, but its all about sentimental value and it'll be heir loom now :) IMG_20190823_3.jpgIMG_20190823_5.jpg IMG_20190823_4.jpg

After taking a gamble with eBay and getting my bag authenticated, I am happy to say I am a proud new owner of a Danube GM! I think I may love it ever so slightly more than my 1980s petit noé but I also think I am impressed by the care the original owner kept the bag in.

View attachment 4521245 I'm so happy to be joining the vintage club with my new to me Speedy 35 made in April 1982.
I bought my first LV bag, a Speedy 25 in 1983 and my sister bought her 30 in 1985. We used those bags everyday year after year.
My sister replaced her Speedy 20 years later since she wore a hole in her first bag.
We only had 1 LV bag so they got a lot of wear. We still have our old bags but they are worn out. We bought these New from Saks when they came to a city close to our hometown.
I might look for another

How do you like the functionality of the Monceau? A bit stiff?
Plus I would love to see the final product after the rehab from LV!

A bag my mom almost threw away!
She threw away an LV speedy 30 she had previously to this one! When I found out she did, it didn't bother me cuz I wasn't into LV at the time. Plus LVs were much cheaper back then.
But now that I love LV, I'm so glad I was able to rescue this 1983 speedy 35 before she threw it out during her deep cleaning phase!
I asked her why she couldn't just donate it? And she told me who would want such a messed up bag! Well I guess I did, because now I have it.
I hardly use it cuz it is not in the best condition, but after covering the handles, it was perfect as an overnight bag.
