I have this kind of LV bag, I got it from my mother in law.I love it but pretty heavy to carry by it self.
Does anybody knows what kind of type it is? Is this one of the vintage collection?
This bag is called the Manhattan GM. It is from the early 2000s. It was a very popular bag at the time.
I recommend getting the bag authenticated if you have any doubt about its origins.

Newbie here. Will the authenticate LV thread do French Company Speedys? The bag in my hand looks like a fake but the only thing going for it was that it was purchased at I.magnin in San Francisco. Thanks!

Just picked up this vintage 1983 Trousse 28 for quite the steal! I love it!
It’s really is flawless. Seller mentioned black scuffs and pen marks. All came off in five minutes with a wet wipe! I really looked for one with a lining in a good condition, as I know they crumble quick once they start.

How to I care for the lining of this item? I want to make sure it lasts. Should I apply any apple conditioner? Or just treat it with a wet cloth from time to time?
You will LOVE this cosmetic bag! This was my first ever LV purchase and I use it to carry my makeup on every trip we take! After looking at your inside I realized its time to clean mine:shocked:
Here’s mine

My sac shopping tote arrived today. I placed my order on Saturday and it arrived in 3 days from Japan! The quality of the bag is just incredible. The patina is perfect for a 20 year old bag...well was before I polished the brass and left little spots around the rivets! It's a warm honey patina. The inside is clean and no smell! I have to confess that I was thinking I shouldn't have passed on my NF GM but now I'm so glad I did. I wouldn't have found this bag. I also didn't know about this bag until I read about it here on TPF!

Lovely bag. Wow 3 days from Japan. May I know the Japanese seller you purchased the bag from?

Sure. Gallery Rare. I think it’s g-rare on eBay. The packaging was impressive. It came in a huge box with authenticity paperwork and a tag something like fashionphile does. No dust bag but it was was wrapped in plastic then cushioned in a ton of air paper. Most of the time when I receive something from Japan it’s just wrapped in bubble wrap and put in a mailing envelope! My bag was exactly as described. I like them because you can make offers. It was listed at $503.75 and I got it for $490. I offered low and that was the counter offer. I asked for a pic of the date code and they replied in 2 days. Super happy with the experience.

Thank you TXLVlove for sharing your experience. I purchased 3 items from 3 different Japanese sellers on eBay recently and they all shipped as you posted in bubble wrap.
