I love the bucket. It was actually my very 1st LV bag and it's still in the family, my Mom "adopted" it a few years ago. How much did LV charge for the new lining? Mom mentioned that the lining in our bag is starting to crack and peel the other day, so I'm thinking we might have to do the same. Also, did you get a quote on the cost of replacing all of the vachetta?
I think someone here shared her total cost for interior and vachetta replacement. I can't remember what the SA told me! I think around $380 for replace the leather. I know there is a youtube video on complete replacement. I purchased this bag to try as a carry-on so I wasn't too concerned about the vachetta other than no serious cracks. I'm trying it with the original leather to see how I like it. I love how easy the Bucket is to carry and that it doesn't knock things over like my GM Neverfull did. The lining was $150. It is the best repair deal out there when wanting to refurbish a LV bag in my opinion.

I'm worried our bag will look very odd with just the top vachetta edge replaced (which I know is inevitable when replacing the interior) and the handles and vachetta edge around the bottom remaining original as it's got a pretty deep patina as well as water stains and other scuffs/stains after 20 years of being a workhorse bag, so if we decide to go for a refurb of it we'll do both interior and vachetta. I guess I'll take it to LV in Oslo and get a quote.
Here's my new to me Petit Noe. She is almost 20 years old. 
I noticed a crack on the strap while cleaning her up. Paid $500 for the bag.
Did I over paid for this preloved? Should I return the bag since seller did not disclose the crack on the strap?

Absolutely return! Sellers make me so frustrated sometimes. That’s and obvious undisclose and too expensive to replace strap
THere is a youtube video where the girl first just did the interior then when she received it back from Repair she didn't like the contrast so sent it back for complete replacement. I think all in was $500.

Saw one of the video on youtube from last year and she had the whole leather replaced on her 1991 for $650.

I contacted the seller and point out the crack on the strap and they accepted the return.
I just bid and won another petit noe from another Japanese seller. This one has a lot of cracks on the leather and she is made in 2007. 7 years younger than the other one. I will take her in and have all leather replace once I receive the bag. Any idea how canvas quality was in 2007? I'm hoping it will be thicker.
I think I'm going through mid-life crisis. I also purchased a vintage 50 bandoliere keepall that is also on it ways to me. And I'm also wanting a 45 one.
I totally understand. I had a petit noe like your original and was saving up to get the vachetta replaced. Alas it was stolen. I found a newer one made the week of my birthday. I paid more for it but it has a lovely patina. Not too dark yet. I purchased both the 50b keep all and the 45. Sold them both! I lugged that 50 to Hawaii and thought my shoulder was going to fall off! Purchased a roller suitcase instead!
After all this talk about the vachetta, I'm seriously thinking of taking my GM Bucket in to get the rest of the vachetta replaced. I used the bag a few weeks ago on a trip and really liked how easy it was to carry around a festival. It actually held quite a bit. So now I'm thinking I want it to look new....Just might need to wait until July since I'm heading to NYC in June and want to bring the bag.
