It's interesting. I'd be curious to hear what one of our Cashin experts thinks of it. Some things about it don't seem quite right for a bag from that era, but it could have been a prototype or design experiment of some kind.
So how are we all doing on our wish lists 6 months later? I have checked off three: the Pool Blue Willis, British Tan Willis, and Whiskey Bleecker Shopper. I will admit though that many of the bags on my list don't tickle my fancy anymore because my preferences have changed. I've also learned of new bags that I didn't know existed at the time I wrote my first list. So here's my new list:
1. Burnt Orange Courier Pouch
2. Burgundy Courier Pouch
3. British Tan or Mahogany Pony Express
4. Plum Willis
5. Mahogany Willis
6. Gray Willis
7. British Tan Crosby
8. Green Manor
9. Houseof999's hubby to build me a storage and display system.

Lol at #9! I never really make a wish list. I recently saw the plum Willis so I gotta find one. I'm impulsive that way. Never had a gray Willis so that's on the wish list now. I'd say anything that's an interesting color and a crossbody is on my list! That's a lot! Haha! I had a Mahogony Manor and got rid of it. It was in great condition and didn't need rehab but I never reached for it. Also seemed a bit heavy. Maybe it's just the look because I love Sheridan Monticello bags. They are almost built the same right besides the leather being different? I noticed my focus has really shifted towards green crossbodies. I had a cute little 4108 in beautiful Olive green in perfect condition that I sold 2 years ago and after finding an orange one this year I'm like why the hell did I sell the green one!So how are we all doing on our wish lists 6 months later? I finally figured out why I don't like the new Willis bags. It's because they look like the fake ones! Check this fake one out.. looks just like the new Willis.

I notice you have a lot of willises on your list!
That’s one I would like to try out but I’m concerned about the top handle. Since it isn’t a small bag, I just wonder if I would damage the turn lock if I carry it by the handle when it’s heavy?I’m always low key looking for the courier pouch too. But the ones I’ve seen are usually in not so great condition and super expensive especially if I add in shipping. So I’ve convinced myself to not put that one on the list.

and your Crosby is giving me ideas! So while I’ve never thought of writing down a list, I’ll make one now, not in any particular order:1. court bag - any colour other than black
2. Crosby in any colour
3. mini shopper (ideally red, but not sure how I feel about the magnetic closure)
4. Willis (a reasonably priced one in reasonable condition, any colour)
5. red pocket purse (!)
6. Green/navy blue basic bag with the double spaghetti straps
(I recently got a basic bag in black with the adjustable strap - I mostly got it for the strap to use on my pocket purse. lol.. but turns out I’m really liking the bag! It’s currently drying after its bath and I can’t wait to use it!)
ETA: and +1 for houseof999’s awesome storage and display system!

Yeah, they look wrong without the padding above the turnlock.
The reason a Willis has the dowel is so it can handle weight.I notice you have a lot of willises on your list!

My godness when I started I was just soo happy just to own one Coach bag but once you start participating in this forum you will catch the bug, you see so many other bags and you will fall in love and the hunt is on.I got the Willis bag bug out of my system.No sooner that I was over that I cought the Sherwin bug, narrowed it down to Montichellos bin pretty lucky so far tho my hg has not bin found yet.
