I’m sure this has been discussed, but I can’t find anything. Is there a bag similar in style to the Court, but larger like the Willis? I love that I can fit my iPad and even a small lunch in my Willis but the top dowel and the hardware flop around so much that it kind of annoys me. So since the court seems to be my favorite of all the styles I’ve actually tried so far, I’m looking for something that looks like that but maybe just a smidge bigger. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I think the Crosby is bigger.

Finally finished my United Airlines Stewardess. I really didn't know what I was going to get. She ended up being a gorgeous deep mahogany. I thought I was going to lose the UA symbol on the strap during dunking because it was quite lightly embossed, but it is still there.

I dunked and scrubbed her and applied a coat of almond oil and leather therapy but I wasn't happy. There seemed to be shiny parts and the conditioner wasn't really making a difference. So I scrubbed her down with industrial grade acetone and re-dunked. Three coats of LT, two coats of Obenauf's with days and days in between each coat and lots of buffing. Finally a coat of Black Rock and more buffing. She 's far from perfect. There are some small areas of worn piping and she's still a bit slouchy, but I can live with that.

The first pic is from the ebay listing. The rest are after shots. Here is the link to the before pics http://forum.purseblog.com/coach-cl...-photos-and-chat-857690-242.html#post27172484

I'm also going to post some pics in Vintage Photos and Chat and in the Reference Thread, comparing the UA with the regular Stewardess.

Looks like a beautiful Legacy Zip there!

I am 5'3" with a slender frame. Of the other bags you asked about, I have the 9170 and have had both regular and United Airlines Stewardesses. The regular Stewardess felt too large for me. The United Airlines Stewardess has slightly smaller measurements and is a much better fit for me. It has a shorter strap and will only work as a shoulder bag, not a crossbody. It has a good layout of pockets and holds a lot. No outside pocket on the back, which would be nice, but I do OK without it. These are very hard to find in good condition.

The 9170 Classic Shoulder Bag is, for me, practically perfect in every way (as Mary Poppins would say!) It is not a crossbody, and only works as a shoulder bag, as the name implies. It is easy to get in and out of. No zipper, no turnlock, just that lovely, supple full length flap. Also no outside back pocket. One full length pocket under the flap which holds an iPad Mini perfectly. Main compartment holds two pairs of glasses in cases, wallet, keys, phone, room for a paperback book etc. I love its elegant simplicity.

Another smaller bag that I love is the one mentioned a few posts above, the Bixby Sling 9984. It's a drawstring sling that holds what I need and is fun to carry. It's shown below on the right, along with the Companion Bag 9300 in the middle, and the Prairie Bag 9954 (a beautiful style, which might also work for you) on the left:

What is the general opinion on the UA stewardess bag? Good size? Functional?
The UA Stewardess is smaller than the standard Stewardess. I don’t have the exact measurements, but found a few posts discussing them. I don’t have either.
The right size and functional aspects are really up to you. What size bag do you like? Do you need to carry it cross body or do you like to hand carry? Do you like a flap opening over a zip?
I have sort of figured out what I like to carry on a daily basis, so I look at the measurements of bags I gravitate toward and compare the measurements. I know I need a flap opening or a zipper that wraps over the end of the bag or has a side insert, like the Oliver. Etc, you get the idea. Good luck in figuring out your specs! Hopefully others who do use it (or bags of a similar shape and size) will share their pros and cons.
