I found an interesting wallet today. I haven't seen this one before but I don't know much about Coach wallets.. It only has space for one card. Buttons shut. Constructed with two pockets.. Idk how to describe it. The card pocket is the space between the the 2 sections. There is silver pen writing in it. It's very skinny.View attachment 4426309 View attachment 4426310 View attachment 4426311 View attachment 4426312
It's a carry-all clutch from around 1991. I think some of the clutches Coach currently makes look like they were inspired by this.

Cool! It's funny that it's called a "carry-all" since I doubt I can fit much in it. I will probably have to put a card case inside it to make it usable but I know for example that my phone won't fit in it.... Thanks for sharing that Whateve, I was hoping you might know what it is!

Yes, it is. I was surprised it didn’t sell right away. City bag is also happens to be my favorite of all the Coach’s flap+turnlock styles.
I love City Bags too. I have about 5 I think. I'm trying to talk myself into parting with the british tan. Also I saw a putty one in beautiful condition the other day I was very tempted by... I keep thinking about going back and getting it if it's still there.

I'm trying to figure when this City Bag was made. The creed says Made in New York City and the color is dark green (it looks black but it's really green). Does anyone know what year the City Bag was introduced? As I understand it, the Made in New York City creeds were phased out by 1988. And as far as I can tell, the Forest Green color wasn't available before 1989, when the two-tone Spectators were introduced. So is this a 1989 New York City City Bag? Or maybe green was available earlier than 1989?

I believe @whateve posted not too long ago that the City was introduced just before the change to “Made in the USA/United States” I have seen NYC creeds, but more on black, brown City Bags.

Hi hi! Finally getting back with pics. If you prefer small bags and carry slim pouches, you may like this bag.
With a newly acquired and rehabbed Dinky.
VB tech pouch in nylon, 6 1/2 x 4 ", wallet 5 1/4 x 4".
If you need a little more room, consider the Convertible Clutch.

Thank you *so* much, and I'm sorry that this reply is so late.

That's very helpful to see! I really appreciate it.

Also, may I ask what you've done with these bags? They're beautiful.

The dark one glows. Blackrock?

Was the bone colored bag a rehab project? I have a bone colored Court just sitting on my shelf; after spending quite a bit of time trying to improve it, I'm still very displeased.

I haven't had time to deal with the smell, I'll have to go through old posts to collect some advice on that. I'm once again impressed with the old Costa Rican leather though, I have to say it again. It's a 1998 bag and after just 2 coats of Leather CPR the bag feels like velvety buttery luxury. Maybe it just feels so good because my last rehab was a 1995 Manor and that leather is made to be stiffer. Idk, but I love this bag, stink and all. I do have white vinegar, do you think I should dunk it again with vinegar? I was going to try charcoal or some other granules I read about.
I spritzed until wet with vinegar/water and air dried outside several times before dunking and soaking in vinegar. I Did the charcoal and zeolite too but only gave those a couple weeks. So they might have worked if given more time. I'm told sunshine and fresh air will do it in time, but I didn't want to wait months or a year since my bag was very smoky. :) The vinegar was much faster, but it depends whether your bag can handle multiple soakings in vinegar.

I understand, life gets busy
Thank you! The Dinky is actually white. It was in amazing condition to begin with, which is why I rescued it from a thrift shop. After dunking ( twenty minutes in warm water with a little Lexol cleaner and gentle toothbrush scrub, 20 minutes warm water rinse with a little vinegar) then Leather CPR, and Blackrock, sparingly.
The Black Pocket purse got roughly the same treatment, but it also got a little Saphir brand dye/recolorant.
I think the lighting added to the glow a little.
I have found light colors can be tricky to rehab, like red!
