Yes, I have a post about a gray court bag I bought made in CR because everyone was raving about the CR bags. It is wonderful leather. I will probably buy another one down the line sometime.Hi all! I was just wondering if anyone owns a Costa Rican-made bag? I've love to know what the leather and hardware are like - i'm eyeing up a City bag on etsy, but have never owned one made in CR. Thanks!
I like this, I think I might need one...Here's my new to me Sheridan Monticello in black with black trim. I love this bag so much, I moved in as soon as I did a brief cleaning and conditioning. View attachment 4400430
I would go for it, but at the moment I'm deep into rehabbing a Duffle Sac (so you know what I mean by "deep"IMO, the Classic Hobo is a completely underrated style. And it’s big, as in Stewardess and Ranch bag big. Who likes patina? NA, but not pinging my radar. While they are very much faked, all the fakes I have seen are conveniently and prominently stamped made in Korea.

I have several and I LOVE THEM. I just rehabbed a Costa Rican Rambler's Legacy on Sunday and it feels so soft already. Other bags that I've dunked have felt stiff and/or needed many coats of CPR to feel soft again. The hardware is the same in my opinion. But the leather is amazing! I shop for Costa Rican bags now.
ETA: by shop for them I mean that if I have to choose between the same style of bag made in Costa Rica vs. made anywhere else I will choose the Costa Rican bag even if it's a little more expensive. This is just my opinion though, others may not agree!
I did buy it on ebay, about September of last year. Was that around the same time you sold yours?? I am enjoying it! Very much!

No, Mahogany. I posted pics earlier today in the rehab thread:Is it a Brit?
You really do. It's a great sized bag.I like this, I think I might need one...

I'm not sure what style you are talking about. Was it a Sonoma with the black on black striped lining?Does anyone have a vintage coach bucket bag- no drawstring and the striped ticking lining? That was a graduation present that I have lost over the years and would like to replace. Still have the version with the drawstring and flap closure that I bought for my first job. Just curious if they show up on the market- I haven't found one other than the Bonnie Cashin version with legacy lining for $$$
