Thanks for sharing the picture of your gorgeous new bag!! I have actually been looking for something like the Devon, but with a top handle, and I think this is IT!

I do have a few questions though - since it’s a lined bag, did you plan on bathing it (if it needed one)? And did you have to apply the conditioner differently? I’ve only had glove tanned leather bags and this one looks like pebbled leather (is it?)
I didn't need to bathe it, but was willing to if needed. Katev has bathed a Sheridan bag and hers came out lovely. She posted a link about her experience, I believe in the Rehab and Rescue Club thread. It can be done. I used baby wipes first to wipe down the dust and little bit of dirt that was on it. Then I vacuumed out the interior. I used leather CPR with a rag and moisturized the entire thing. Even used q-tips to get into the hard to reach spots and stitched trim. Buffed it with a flannel cloth. Lastly I used vinegar and a no scratch steel wool to clean the brass hardware. This was an easy rehab, took me less than 2 hours total.

Thanks so much for sharing your rehab process!! I’m going to read up on this and then hopefully find one on eBay/Etsy. Thanks again!!!

Hi everyone!

I'm hoping to ask about the Pocket Purse (style No. 9755).

Any opinion about how much stuff it holds?

I've been searching for information about this style and what fits, but haven't found a lot of info.

(I don't need it to fit a tonne of stuff; mostly just the things I bring when I go for lunch near my office.)

P.S. If anyone happens to have a photo of what fits inside your Pocket Purse (or if you have a link to something like that), that'd be cool.

=)

Hi hi! Finally getting back with pics. If you prefer small bags and carry slim pouches, you may like this bag.
With a newly acquired and rehabbed Dinky.
VB tech pouch in nylon, 6 1/2 x 4 ", wallet 5 1/4 x 4".
If you need a little more room, consider the Convertible Clutch.

I have several and I LOVE THEM. I just rehabbed a Costa Rican Rambler's Legacy on Sunday and it feels so soft already. Other bags that I've dunked have felt stiff and/or needed many coats of CPR to feel soft again. The hardware is the same in my opinion. But the leather is amazing! I shop for Costa Rican bags now.

ETA: by shop for them I mean that if I have to choose between the same style of bag made in Costa Rica vs. made anywhere else I will choose the Costa Rican bag even if it's a little more expensive. This is just my opinion though, others may not agree!
I have a Costa Rican Court coming soon! I need to take a break from this vintage bag buying, but it's so much fun!

I'm rehabbing a mahogany Court bag made in Costa Rica right now, and I like it so much that I just bought a made in CR black Court, even though I really don't need another black bag.

Ohmygoodness me too. I bought a bright red Willis on Thursday night for the BIN price thinking I was working overtime all weekend and then my overtime got cancelled! I didn't need another red bag but it was a Costa Rican bright red Willis. Part of me is so freaking happy I bought the bag before I lost several hundred dollars in income because I wouldn't have bought the bag otherwise. It was kind of a wake up call too. I need to dial back a little bit. Maybe sell a few, ha ha!

I saw that red Willis and it’s gorgeous—I’m glad you’re the one who got it!

I don't need anymore bags either, lol, but when I find a nice one, especially a nice vintage one like the East-West Compartment I posted the other day, I can't leave it in the store. I love a lot of newer styles, but I have a soft spot for vintage bags. Maybe it's because I bought my first Coach bags in the 90's (a light blue Maggie and a dark grey Ergo). I regret getting rid of them, especially since I know how to rehab them now.
