I just found a pre creed flap shoulder bag thingie at my gw boutique. It's quite the huge beast.. 12x 11 inches Bigger than a stewardess but lighter. Very minimalist inside. Needs a rehab. Faded from black?

Nice! I wouldn’t mind finding something like that. There is a GW Boutique, a little over an hour away from where I live. I may go over when I can combine it with a trip for something else in that area. I see stuff at GW online at the regional center by me. Guessing all the good stuff goes there in my area. I guess I could see it as a money saver.

I heard bits and pieces of this story here and there. And I remember Coach had a video clip featuring the rehabber from Montana, who it would seem, learned a lot of rehabbing on the rehab thread. I find the bags (and the prices) fascinating. I assumed they decided to call the Pocket purses and Converible clutches Dinky’s to keep it simple. From 2016.

I can only pray one of the fringed bags makes it way to the secondary market!

Cool. Is that in the window? What else did you see?
It’s not in the window, they have a whole display of vintage bags as you go up the staircase to the second floor. Of the more rare ones, they have the Patch Pocket, something called Kangaroo (kicking myself for not taking a picture of it), and a flap bag with two thicker tubular straps - those come up on EBay from time to time. Otherwise, it’s the classics - a Musette, a Courier, an original Rambler, a slim satchel, a slim tote with a kisslock pocket, etc.

I sold a few bags to Debi in Montana in 2015. They were slim satchels standard. She was buying up as many as she could find for Coach. I never found out what they did with them. I don't recall ever seeing that style embellished. It would be pretty exciting if one of them was sitting in the flagship store.

I wish I could enlarge and sharpen that catalog page that shows the flight bag.

At one time Vlad was going to arrange a trip to the archives for many of us, but Debi is the only one who actually got one. She donated some rare styles to Coach so I guess it was a reward.

Maybe the slim satchel was one of mine!

I sold a Mussette to Debi that she said was going to a display at the Coach HQ for their anniversary. I'd like to think that maybe my Mussette made it to the display that you saw.

Stopped by the Coach NYC flagship store today and noticed this.

Now I know what that bag was officially called. Mine is pre-creed.

The NYC Flagship store is a fun experience! I love seeing vintage bags on display. I’ve also stopped in the front area of Headquarters at Hudson Yard where there was an awesome wall display of classic handbags!
