I just had a run-in with this seller myself. She had already purchased a bag from me, which she won on auction for insultingly cheap, I then found that same bag in her store for 10 times the price (the bag wasn't even worth that much). She contacted me today about another of my bags, to get free shipping on it, like come on. I forgot I blocked her and when she went to bid she wasn't allowed. She then sent me a tiffed message. Shes just a re-seller trying to get bags as cheap as possible, which, ok, but you ain't getting anymore of my bags.
who are you talking about? i missed the context of this..
I don't, but I doubt it. Probably just plated. Coach wasn't using solid brass on most bags in the late 90s and later.
i'm just going to brush some vinegar over the hardware in the bath. it seems that the ring turning silver is a common thing on these but i think it makes it look bad so i will change it.

I don't think the made in China stamp is a problem. They were probably introduced in 1997 but that doesn't mean they were only made that year. The China factories were in use for business items as early as 1997. I personally had a Willis made in China in 1999. I also had a city key fob that was made in China. I don't know if you can see it in this picture but it has the same stamp. It also had the cartouche on the back.

I believe it is authentic. You are welcome to post it in the AT thread if you would like other opinions.

We've seen business accessories like laptop organizers made in China as early as May 1995 so making small accessories there on a regular or even a trial basis isn't a red flag.

Daaaaaang! I find diddly squat at my thrift stores.
I couldn't believe how much nice Coach was there today. I really had to use some self control as I need to reduce my collection ad it is. But I just couldn't pass this one up. Their prices are high for a thrift store so that helps me not buy it all... But today there was this beautiful NYC stewardess maybe putty for $50... She was in amazing condition. If I didn't already have 5 stewardess bags but I was so tempted.. Also a gorgeous like new navy city bag I couldn't justify buying because I already have 5.

I just found a pre creed flap shoulder bag thingie at my gw boutique. It's quite the huge beast.. 12x 11 inches Bigger than a stewardess but lighter. Very minimalist inside. Needs a rehab. Faded from black?

I rehabbed one of those a few years ago. Mine was really faded, too, but it turned out to be a really dark brown.

ETA: Mine may have been smaller than yours. Here's a link to the finished rehab.

Mine might be navy. I can't tell for sure. Yeah I think yours looks smaller. I think I have 2 of the smaller sized ones in suede. Mine are 10 x 8
