My classic pouch/classic shoulder 9170 New York City. Just finished rehabbing her last night but still need to get a hangtag. JAX sent me two gold and silver tags for some other bags a few weeks ago. Wonder if they’ll send me one more or if I have to wait a year?IMG_1911.jpg

It has a 2005 China creed. The hardware is silver toned. It just looked brassy in that other picture. Here's a better picture from today along with a picture of the creed.

Thanks, I'm going to have to watch for the 2005 version now! I like the contrast stitching and have only seen a tiny handful of bags that have it. My F040-9927 is from the same plant a year earlier but has the matching stitching. And after looking at post 9642 I'm wondering how many dog-gone shades of blue those Chinese plants actually had!

Did you ever have any price tag confirming the color name? We've been looking for the official name of that blue or those blues for a loooooong time now.

Does anyone have the color list for a 2001 Penelope 9714 handy?
Was Wheat or Buckskin an option?
I’m not near my computer at the moment.

According to the Holiday 2001 catalog the Penelope Satchel 9713 and Penelope Demi 9712 came in Ocean, Black and Camel. The Penelope Bucket 9714 isn't in that or any other catalog I have.

It seems those China plants must have had several shades of blue. I bought mine second-hand, and it didn't come with a tag. I would love to know the name of the color, too. I wonder if they made any other colors with the contrast stitching. I'd love to have a red one with contrast stitching.

Could be, or something close to it.

It's an exercise in futility trying to figure out colors for those, and we all know that you can never depend on any color to look the same on a computer as it looks to the human eye in natural light. They were never shown on the website or in the catalogs because I think all those 2004 thru 2006 Willises went straight to the outlets. So they were whatever the factory decided to call them, or whatever colors Coach had left over from previous seasons. Pool was mostly a 2003 color but carried over a bit into 2004 along with several new paler blue shades.

I think they considered cutting back on the classic styles right around that time and may have just fooled around with a bunch of colors to see what was worth keeping. But who knows? Without an actual tag I suppose we can call them anything we darned well please.

Somebody needs to explain why the bidding is so high on this City bag  Am I missing something?

And of course, since this seller doesn't feel Creed pic are necessary . . . Someone 'splain this to me!
That's crazy! I bet the winner doesn't pay.
Speaking of Ricky Ricardo, we saw Desi in a movie from the 30s, maybe one of his first. Boy, was he gorgeous!
