fI'd love some opinions about the color of two new bags I've picked up recently. In both cases I already have them in black and I'm sure they're black. The new ones I can't decide if they're navy or perhaps flannel grey? If they're navy they're crazy dark.

First a Baxter, here it is in front of the black one:

And the same with these 2 stewardesses:

I guess what I'm ultimately looking for here is consensus on whether I can actually keep these claiming they are different colors or am I crazy? Okay don't answer the crazy question... this stewardess obviously needs rehab.
Can you take some pictures outside? That might help.

Both of the Baxters look blue-ish to me. The colors are too close for my eyes to distinguish, given the limitations of how computer monitors render colors. At the end of the day you might have to just pick which of the two you want to keep based on some other detail, because the colors are "too close to call."

I can see more of a difference between the two Stewardesses. The one on the right does look more gray/black, the one on the left has more of a blue tone.
I'm seeing the opposite. I think the front Baxter looks navy, and both stewardesses look the same, although I'm seeing a blue shadow at the bottom of the one on the right.
Look at the back of the Baxter pocket, and inside the pockets of both. The leather inside is more protected and may show the difference better.

The backs of the pockets are a little funny. Scraps from the cutting room floor? When i look at the suede inside the navy one is very grey while the black is a deep saturated black.

Even more silly I have this dilemma also with 2 Court bags. I had one that was black and faded. I thought it might be grey. But it was faded unevenly. Then I bought a definitely navy one. Then I found what I thought was a black one so I got rid of the grey/black. I rehabbed the "black" one and now it looks just like the navy one! Ack! It appears to have lightened. I think these problems are caused by fading plus the original colors just being too close to each other in the first place.

Here's the wayback listing.
The blue color was called ocean.
I actually saw a lady with the British tan 9701 in my local grocery store yesterday! I was in awe for good 20 seconds before my toddler rammed into a rack off bottles with his kiddie shopping cart. I was going to sneak a pic but of course that plan got ruined.

Here's the newest member of my growing British Tan collection. She just arrived today, in amazing condition, complete with a lucky penny inside, minted in 1989. And yes, it occurred to me that could even be the same year the bag was minted. :happydance:

ETA: Shoulder Sac, #9730
Twins! Though mine has some minor wear. No wait, lol, it has patina. According to 9 out of 10 listings for vintage Coach online.

And I saw a younger woman with a Legacy Rambler in a beautiful golden shade in a VB outlet today . Vintage is alive and well with the younger crowd!

This was previously listed and I was watching it. Surprisingly no one bid on it. The pictures were poorly lit, and the color looked muddy brown. The seller has now taken much better pictures showing the true British Tan color. If I hadn't just bought one I would be all over this one. NYC mystique reigns.

I am convinced I won the bid for my Brit Bancroft for an insane price because of blurry and poorly lit photos. The creed shot was dead on and convinced me to bid hours before it ended. I Was shocked the next morning to see I won.
