Last night I saw the Becket in Jade on eBay. I believe if you search with Jade and vintage Coach it will come up. Not AT.
It's listed under teal, not jade. https://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-CO...607977?hash=item2856d6c6a9:g:lboAAOSwB4NWwfDk No creed picture.
I also found all these interesting green bags.

The BT pony express, ended- it went for 411.00 :frown:
Another pretty rare bag that is a good size is the Becket zip. It came in some really interesting colors. View attachment 4027366 View attachment 4027367
and your purple Becket is lovely. I would definitely love a purple vintage bag. When I found out the Sling was made in purple my heart skipped two beats. I did see one purple Sling on the bay, but they wanted 2 Bens at least and I was not prepared for that. Sigh.

@whateve IKR for $$$ for that green satchel. They must be hanging out with that seller who listed a Station Bag as *rare*.
There's some powerful mystique surrounding that style. I guess it's on a lot of people's Holy Grail list.
Would love to know how many were produced. I wonder if past production info is tucked away somewhere.
I'm so excited. I just purchased this bag in dark green color. :happydance:
Nice!!

Just for fun I am compiling a list of Coach vintage styles that have a springlock closure. So far I have:

9892 Chrystie

9896 Barclay Tote
9890 Scout Bag
View attachment 4029404

9886 Avenue Bag

9899 Mulberry

9900 Dover

5272 Stanton Briefcase

I'm sure I've missed some, so if anyone can think of any more, please chime in. Thanks!
The mulberry and dover weren't springlocks. The Carriage Classics collection advertises a magnetic tab closure.
I have the derby bag 9904, Crosby bag 9905, 9853 binocular bag, 9887 roll bag, and 9826 mini belt bag. There were also spectator versions of some of these.9904 derby bag 9905 Crosby bag 9896 Barclay brief button.jpg 9853 Binocular bag 1990 button.JPG 9887 roll bag 1991 button unverified.JPG 9826 mini belt bag 1992 1993 thru 1995 button springlock.jpg

Thank you! Good info on the two Carriage Collection styles. And I'd completely forgotten the mini Belt Bag and Binocular Bag, duh!

How do you open them? I found one at a thrift store and couldn’t figure it out.
It can be tricky. To open it, you pull the button straight out and lift. To close it, you have to line up the post with the opening and pull the button out, slip the post into the opening, push and let go of the button so the spring mechanism catches the post. I had a lot of trouble at first but after some practice I finally got the hang of it.
