The only one large bag I have is a tote bag, and I only use it when travel and going big shopping.
I have regular rogue, that's a good size for me on weekdays going to work, and I normally carry my dinky on the weekends. I really wanted to love double-swagger as daily bag but I can't handle that size, so I returned it. Where I live, people drive to everywhere so there isn't really a needs that I have to carry a lot of things.
So, yes, I think I don't like big bags. If it has to be that big , I'd prefer a backpack.
But I do understand the feeling, sometimes I buy a bag and I am satisfied, I don't even use them. Just thinking of that I have that bag, I am happy. I think this is called collector.
I completely understand and agree! Happy collecting and never feel obligated to respond to my ramblings!!

Look at this! I am 99.99% sure it's Coach Bonnie Cashin due to the striped lining. I think I even see a little rectangle where the label used to be. What do you guys think?

It has all the markers of a BC Portfolio. I may have a BC sketch of it on my laptop that I'll look for when I return to the US. Recall the (much nicer) one that went for $240 a little while back? Yes, the same one a shill bidder deprived me of winning (for a bargain price) at the auction that preceded the BIN relist. The BIN buyer was a flipper who has it resisted at (IMHO) an absurdly high price.

Hi ladies, I have a question about the Coach Duffle bag.

I am still learning on Coach vintage bags. I noticed the extra large duffle bag (style # 9085) is always sold at high price. I am lucky to be able to score one @ $60 and rehabbed it. maybe I have not yet notice the beauty of duffle bag, I just couldn't fall in love with it. I am 5 feet 2 btw.

For the ones that owns large duffle bag and loves it, can you share your opinion ? Yes, I need someone to convince me to keep it

I have one and I love it! It IS a huge bag and I’m 5’2” as well. I ended up putting a shorter strap on mine so I can carry as an underarm bag and that seems to help it not feel as bulky. The leather is just yummy so mine is a forever bag. :) Honestly, it isn’t an everyday bag though, more of a once in a while thing.

You've just given me an excuse to keep the bag
I don't carry that much and I have a nylon tote for carrying yoga mat.. (wait.. I don't even do yoga:P)
All this talk about large duffle bags has inspired me to pull one out to take to work tomorrow. Paired it with a two tone dinky new to me, its first use. Makes it okay that it's so small that I can carry my pouch of allergy meds and little crap in the bigger bag.

This is a 9085 and I love it. It is my carry on “handbag” so I can include the kitchen sink when travelling! I am 5’ 3” btw. I find the strap length at shortest perfect for reaching into the bottom of the bag without taking it off. I can also wear it crossbody when lengthened. I use a purse organiser and small handbag inside to help the scrabbling around.....

thanks for the mod shot! The bag looks good on you! :flowers: Yes it so think the bag is good for travel, it has zipper closure and can be cross body which makes it more secure and versatile than big opening tote bag. I guess that's why it's popular? (To whom like big bag but not a fan of tote?)

I have one that was my grandmother's, which is probably the only reason I keep it. I used to be really in to big bags and back then I used it a lot, but as I get older I can't handle the weight and I've trained myself to not need to carry as many things daily so now I rarely use it.
I do find it handy when traveling as a carry on purse so that's the only time it comes out of the closet these days. But I still think it's a beautiful bag and when I see someone else carrying one it always looks so elegant and refined.

I bought mine for $25 from Savers. It was in immaculate condition. I love the size. I use it when I need to carry a lot - book, lunch, etc. I had always wanted one, but they were too expensive. It was my first thrifted Coach bag. Now I have several dozen thrifted Coach bags.
