Hi Coachies, long time no see!

I’ve just purchased a nearly vintage Ramblers Legacy from 2001 and it will be awhile before it arrives (I’m overseas) and I’m just trying to get an idea of what all I can fit in it.

Is the original Ramblers Legacy smaller than the Coach Classics they released a couple years back? Or is sizing still true? Would you say the original Court Bag and Ramblers Legacy are roughly the same size?

I’d be looking to fit a small wallet, corner zip wristlet, mini skinny, 4 key holder, smallish coin purse, phone and pocket sized hairbrush on a daily basis in this bag and just want to make sure it’ll be a good size for that vs a “night out” type bag.

If anyone has any “what’s in my bag” type pics of the RL or the Court Bag, that would be fabulous!

Thanks in advance!

I think all of that will fit. It is very similar in size to the Court bag, but perhaps a little deeper, with the front pocket. I think the classic Rambler's Legacy was the same size. I have one from 1999 and another from 2004, and I used to have the Legacy Archive version from 2013, and they were all about the same, except the Archive version was lined and had more pockets. I don't have pictures of what fits, but I normally carry a cosmetic case, a long wallet, a card case, two coin purses, a phone, and sunglasses.

Here are a few links that might help:

Thank you SO MUCH, @whateve !! That’s incredibly helpful and now I’m that much more excited for her to arrive!

And of course now I’m busy hunting down a #9791 and a #9960.

ha ha, he bought one of my suspender bags ages and ages ago, and it's still up on his site, for thrice what he paid, go figure. interesting though, how the price of pony express bags has dropped. i still LOVE them, and finally have my HG versions. but there's one up now for so cheap, looks so nice, but nobody is buying it. i'm tempted, but have to remind myself i have my 2 keepers, and that's all i need!!
I see a Pony for $350ish on ebay/etsy. It would be fun to have one, but I have come to realize part of my enjoyment it finding these bags at a bargain! There was a Pony on an auction last year I believe on the Goodwill site, bundled with another bag. Together they both sold for $300.
Let the flippers ask what they may for bags I hope they have in decent dust covers. I'll enjoy my $25-30 vintage Coach bags that I refurbished and carry all the time.

I am amazed at the prices at which some flippers list, then are willing to keep the price that high for years. The Pony Express I sold a few years ago that ended up with a flipper is still listed for sale. I don't understand that business model.

I sold it though a Facebook group of collectors and thought it would go to a collector. Unfortunately, it went to the guy who runs ProVintageGear (and often sells fakes) on Etsy. I didn't know who he was at that time, or I never would have sold it to him. He didn't end up selling it for a profit. He just sold it for about what he paid me to another flipper who has it priced at a ridiculous amount so no one will buy it.
Lol, and I can't hold back. This is the same seller that did not know the difference between a Shoulder Sac and #9060, for all his catalogue authentification. And his *NYC bags are disappearing at an alarming rate* comments. Which I see another uninspired eBay seller copied and thinks is a good idea to post in listings. Ugh just stop. Please. Okay I'm done.

I know, right? What makes me mad is the guy is a lawyer. I've actually contemplated reporting him to the Bar in Michigan. Selling fakes is a violation of his ethic rules.

i wonder if he actually knows he's selling occasional fake bags though. my sense is that he just doesnt take the care to authenticate them all. he has WAY too many bags, and not in the greatest condition some of them. i confess that i do like how he "stages" them though lol

Yes, he does. He has been on the Authenticate thread several times trying to defend himself. Then when we prove his items are fake, he backs off, but he never asks for authentication of any of his other items.
