Yep and I just washed it. The hardware is really tarnished but otherwise it's really an easy rehab. I am also thinking about using my Berkeleys.in fall. I paid $30 which I think was fair.
I am sad I used to love coach but now I'm seeing it all over in thrift stores and super cheap online. They used to be 300 dollar bags but now it's like 20 it's like the value has gone out the window. Anyone else noticing that?

Nope can't say that I am. The place I got my Berkeley bag from is the Goodwill boutique which always prices coach the same. A small bag is $20-30, medium $35-50 and big $50-70.. occasionally they are even more than that. That means sometimes they can get in a sort after small bag and you can get it for a steal but usually I think their pricing is pretty fair and average for used leather bags. They don't have any less or more than they have been selling the last 5 years. I'm not noticing anything on my wishlist getting cheaper.. if anything I notice them going for more than I am willing to pay!

I'm not noticing that. Thrift store pricing is all over the place. At places where every other brand is $4, Coach is often locked up in a glass case and a high price tag. I have gotten some bargains but that is what I go to a thrift store for. The items are used and the thrift store got them donated, so anything they get for them is profit. On resale sites, bargains are even harder to find. You can't find a brand new bag anywhere for $20. I bought a brand new bag on ebay last Christmas for $100, which was lower than the sale price at Coach. It retailed for around $300.

I don't think the value of Coach has gone out the window. New Coach prices are higher than ever. There are many bags that are close to $1000 or more, and very few around $300. Sometimes you can find low prices online because someone is trying to unload a gift or maybe the item is counterfeit. Also, since Coach has changed their return policy to 30 days, I think some people who change their minds after 30 days have no choice but to try to sell online, and may lower the price just to get some of their money back.

OMG I am absolutely furious! The seller cancelled my transaction. 7 days after. She didn't even contact me. There is no explanation! I just found a refund in my account. I don't know what to think except I know she did this before to someone else for the same bag! I'm not even sure what to do here but I thought ebay is supposed to be legally binding.

On the upside, another seller accepted a best price offer from me on an original rambler this morning. I am excited to see what color this turns out to be. But I am more sad about the other bag. .

Holy cow! That's outrageous! So it will be back on for auction? I didn't think sellers could keep cancelling for not what they wanted to sell for? You won fair and square. I'd call and complain to eBay.

I believe the seller will still have to pay fees to ebay unless she claimed the buyer requested the cancellation. You should be able to give her feedback. It will be a little hard to find since the item probably disappeared from your purchase history, but if you click links in emails about the auction or possibly on your paypal page, you should be able to figure out how to leave feedback.

I don't think she has cancelled it. She has just refunded me. And there was no email from ebay or anything. I can find the item in my purchase history under "unpaid item". I just sent her a gruff message. I can give her a negative right now. Shall I just go ahead and do it? Or wait and see if there's an explanation from her?

Wait for a response.

To change the subject...Anyone watch the HBO show "The Deuce"? It's about the skin trade in Times Square in 1971. Anyway the costume designer obviously loves Coach, because she already has placed (anachronistic) Coach bags in the hands of two characters. Last night in the season finale Sandra, who supposedly is a reporter for the Amsterdam News, had a black Willis. In an earlier episode, Abby sported a Lightweights buckled pouch.

And good I hope she does have to pay fees. There should be some kind of punishment for this. I'm not going to agree to cancel it if she asks me to. I can't even believe she has done this twice with the same bag.

I get so annoyed at ebay sometimes, I have hardly bought anything there since about 2 months ago when a seller sold me a bag with a lot of undisclosed flaws and the nasty lady wouldn't admit it. I can't believe it that here I am again about to give out another negative, only 2 purchases later! It's sad there are so many dishonest sellers on ebay because often it's the only place I can find fun stuff I want like unusual vintage bags.

It might be technical mistake. Maybe she'll have to go ahead and repay when she gets it fixed.

Oh I'm so annoyed for you! (Also for us, b/c I was looking forward to seeing what would happen with that bag)
