Need some advice. I’m looking for a Carrier or a Musette to carry a laptop and tablet back and forth to work. (Maybe even throw in a couple of pouches and I won’t carry a purse to work if there is room.)
Anyway, I do love this canvas/leather combo. What do you think about the damage? Think it’ll hold up, or will I always worry about stressing the bag further??
TIA
ETA: I live in the Pacific NW. May take the train and will possibly get somewhat wet/damp.

I think the leather might be cracked and dry beyond it being rehab material. It's always hard to know for sure from pictures. It's quite a price for all that damage too, but it does look like a really awesome rare bag.

I'm also in the Pac NW, Portland OR.

Are you carrying both a laptop and a tablet? I don't think a Musette would be good for carrying both at the same time. I think a Carrier would be better. I can carry my 13" MacBook Air in my Musette, but I don't put my heavier and larger 15" MacBook Pro in it. A Musette is not that big of a bag.

I also echo the concern about the Twill. I think it is hard to clean if it gets dirty.

Too many to quote. So just know it’s to all.
Thanks for all the second opinions! I do think it needs to be the Carrier for space to use as a brief and maybe a purse.
Darn, I love that look of the twill/Leather though.
Yes, price is very high. Don’t think I usually spend that on ONE item though.
Potentially changing career paths after 23 years in the current biz. I felt I deserved to splurge and get something swanky.
So, between now and then I’ll continue to seek a Carrier....

Hi neighbor to the south! I’m in Seattle.
Don’t you just [emoji173]️ Powell’s City of Books??
Wish I visited more often.

Sharing my new Bonnie Cashin for Sills coat at whateve's suggestion :flowers: Love it so much! After reading up about how cool Bonnie Cashin was, I knew I had to buy something of hers and was happy to find a coat that fit my needs! So my shopping was practical and not just frivolous collecting  It's a little bit more worn than the seller described, but nothing noticeable or out of the ordinary for vintage! It's so thick and warm that I can't wait to use it this winter!

What a great find! I would totally wear something like that today. :girlsigh: And I bet it will still be wearable when all of today's Made In China/Bangladesh/Myanmar garbage is stewing away in some third-world landfill.

That's beautiful! Congrats.

May I ask where you found the "Bonnie Cashin" tags/label? The reason I ask is because on the ebay fashion board, someone asked about a piece of clothing (shirt/vest/pullover top/?) that she thinks is BC but couldn't find any labeling.

No problem! There's a label sewn on an inner seam, the seam that connects the front and back panel. There's also a label near the mouth of the pocket!

I LOVE Coach bags!!!! I also love French Bulldogs! Weird connection. I know.. haha. But I got this beautiful 2004 edition ladybug bag at a fundraising event for french Bulldogs. My first authentic Coach bag ever. I am SO in love! (My mom loved ladybugs.. and ever since she passed away in1998 I am a ladybug magnet. Wherever I go I seem to have ladybugs land on me, and... I think of my mom  I got this bag in August 2017 and I am pretty sure it was meant to be thank you for reading
Aw, what a cute bag! I have a coordinating keychain and another Coach ladybug. I also have a French bulldog keychain.

I love Coach bags and French Bulldogs too. But sadly, my almost nine year old Frenchie, Wolfgang, died in July. I sure do miss that boy.

Whateve, I have this French Bulldog keychain too. I really like the Poppy keychain too.
I'm so sorry you lost your lovely Wolfgang. His life was way too short. I just ordered this keychain from Kate Spade.
