Very nice find indeed. Wear it well.
Wow, that's great! Congrats on your beauty [emoji846]
You spotted them. It's the later version of the Dinky Shopping Bag (seen on the left side of the same shelf) where spaghetti straps were substituted for thicker wrapped-core straps with the exterior patch terminations. There was also a smaller version of the design you have, but I believe that it was only made in the mid-1960s.Thanks! I blame all you Coach lovers on this forum for enabling this frivolous purchase. I can't wait to get my hands on her! I spotted some of her sisters, on the lower right in this Coach archive photo:
Thank you for the added details! I had wondered about the different versions of the straps. You spotted them. I wouldn't but I'm a cheapskate. It is a pretty small bag. The style is overpriced compared to other styles that were made around the same time. I don't think that is the original strap but at that time, Coach may have allowed the buyer to switch the strap out.http://www.ebay.com/itm/172700800914?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2661&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:ITld
This is a nice bag but I was curious would any of you pay that amount? I've had it on my watch list and originally they wanted $600.00. Thoughts?
Nope! Reasons: cheapskate, can't wear crossbody, not roomy enough, overpriced and overrated IMO. I don't care that it's rare.http://www.ebay.com/itm/172700800914?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2661&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:ITld

That's what I was thinking myself. For that price I could get a new bag. Its been on my watch list for over a month, and IMO it wont sell until they lower the price significantly, but if it was red like @whateve said it probably would sell at that price. It's not nearly big enough to be a daily driver for me. And too big for the times you need a small clutch or small cross body, IMO. I've never been interested and agree the style is overrated to fetch that price. I can't understand why it isn't in the under $200 range.
However, I can appreciate the beauty and craftsmanship of it.
Ooh a NYC station bag!
Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/282480240961
Can cosign generally on prior comments. I have a black Saddle and a brown Berkeley flap to fill my need for that general size, style. That being said, I fantasize about finding it at a flea market for $50. And yes, I wouldhttp://www.ebay.com/itm/172700800914?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2661&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:ITld
