It's an early 1970s precursor of the Duffle Sac: glove-tanned leather, finished lower seam, riveted on buckle tabs, no inside slip pocket. I didn't get it either, but would have liked to as it's something I've been keeping my eye out for. If my memory serves me correctly, the winner is someone with deep pockets who has swooped in at the last second on several auctions for this model (identified with either a metal tag or cartouche imprint) that have arisen over the past couple of years. I think that Ravvie99 lucked out a short while back and landed a navy one at a very attractive BIN price. I'll confess that the green-eyed monster did indeed visit that day.Check out this beauty and the price she went for! I did not win.. not by a long shot.

I had it on my watch list but forgot to look when the auction was ending. Looks like my navy one.
Yes, and at 4am Eastern time no less. Crazy. But I believe that the buyer is located in the western mountains, so only 2am there. Sheesh. Inducing behavioral symptoms such as this, collecting must at least be classified as a "condition," if not a "disease."I had it on my watch list but forgot to look when the auction was ending. I didn't realize. It might have gone higher if it had ended at a more reasonable time.Yes, and at 4am Eastern time no less. Crazy. But I believe that the buyer is located in the western mountains, so only 2am there. Sheesh.
Since I have been hanging out and checking vintage listings, since last fall, I have seen several auctions where bidders really went after $$ green duffles.I had it on my watch list but forgot to look when the auction was ending. The bidding didn't get crazy until the end.
