I wonder if it was replaced. I thought this bag was supposed to come with the other type of strap. The Ranch bag, which is big like a stewardess, has a two-sided strap.

I think it looks more finished but I think the other type of strap is softer and more comfortable. I hate rehabbing one sided straps. It is hard getting the conditioner on all the smooth leather parts while missing the suede center.
Interesting. It looks like a perfect match, both size and colour.

Do you know of other NYC bags with the wider double sided strap?

Like you I find conditioning the one sided straps a PITA. I'm too impatient and always get it on the suede!

I can't think of any NYC bags with the wider double sided strap. In the early nineties there was the Becket zip, the Ranch bag and the Manhattan lightweights. I think it would be easier to make this kind of strap.

So only the UA Stewardess?

I guess it would be more expensive to make the double sided strap.

It's a pity because the double sided are far more resilient. The piping on the one sided straps can get really worn and split where it rests on the shoulder as well as stretching and creasing where it goes through the buckles. And they really do look much better, IMO.

That's the only one I can think of.

Did anyone here win it? I tried but it went too high and I wasn't around to bid 'live' either. If it follows the usual pattern, there should be another two coming up soon!

This is the second one. I saw another last week, that suddenly changed to ended at $9.99, but couldn't find it relisted or sold. It's possible it was a fake, but not completely sure. Didn't look closer enough.

I have an early NYC burgundy duffle sac that has a double sided strap like the stewardess bags. I don't know if it is original to the bag. The zipper needed replaced, and the piping was split across the top. I brought it to my cobbler, he said he would replace the zipper with a ykk zipper and replace the piping. I wish I could have Coach repair it but I have previously sent a bag to coach for repairs - sent back unrepaired with a 40 percent off coupon. I'm hoping it's a good repair. I was the winner of the pony express bag. I have been looking for a pony express in black for years, I'm so happy I won it, and hope it doesn't need too much rehab

Congratulations! It will look stunning when you've rehabbed it. Please post pics on the Rehab thread.
