Thanks...I have 2 Prairie Bags, one black, one forest green...love both of them. I like the fact that the Saddlery is taller too!
I'd like to see the zipper replacement process. I have one that needs a new zipper but it looks like the entire bag would have to be taken apart to put it in, and a guy at the leather repair told me that new brass zippers cost $45!

I just did the BIN..less than $50 w/free shipping. That was $20 or more less than the bags I had been looking at.
If she needs it...can the Sonoma be dunked?

You're welcome! Congratulations! That's a great price! They can be dunked. I had a problem once with the lining bleeding onto the leather but that wouldn't be a problem with black. You can also just pull the lining out and wash that, and then use conditioner on the bag. I've used Blackrocks on pebbled leather.Thanks for pointing this bag out whateve!

Yeah, not keen on replacing the zipper either. My repair guy said it wasn't worth doing. But, I have a donor bag that I'm going to take zipper out of and use. Then i have to figure out how to put it in the other bag. That will be the last thing I tackle with that bag before it gets a bath.
Anyone up for a challenge that includes making some handles and a strap?

I've been watching that one. It looks so strange and i was wondering why.
The suede looks like putty but the smooth leather looks patchy grey like the paint has worn off. Either that or the lighting is really bad. The description states that it has only been conditioned and not coloured in any way. Hmmm
Yeah, it has a worn in look they say. I really like the bag. But passed as I could have only got that one. Instead I got 4 bags for the same price. Can't wait for the last two arrive.
