I've been having a string of "vintage luck" these last few days of summer (LOL...it will be summer here in Florida til likely sometime in December)! Found this mid-70's-early 80's NYC Saddlery Bag #9535 at GW for $24.99 - $5 coupon = $19.99. Similar to a Prairie Bag, but taller, with unique strap connection, I had never seen one of these before. Nice size too...approx. 9.75”w x 9”h x 3.5”d Strap drop 18.25” to top of buckle. She's in lovely condition, though a little flat...can't wait to dunk!

Gorgeous bag! She is in good shape! I thought you rehabbed it already. A dunk is a wondrous thing!

I also almost bought that lot of two. That olive was hard to resist, but the small size and the high shipping cost scared me away. The seller should have offered to put them in a flat rate box.

Ahhh! I guess i picked so good ones! I love olive greens i can't wait to see it! I made an offer, I kept the 2 bags at $30 shipped so I'm happy with that. I went a little crazy! I have 4 bags coming now.

You got them for $30 shipped! For me the shipping was over $16; I offered $25 and the seller countered with $30, but wouldn't lower the shipping cost, so my total cost would have been almost $50. I got an email from ebay that said they sold for $35.99. I wonder why it would say that.

I'm now looking for the perfect British tan bag. My favorite styles are the skinny flight bag with the longer straps that fit on the shoulder and the shoulder sac. I want a medium to large sized shoulder bag. I don't want lightweights. I think the color is richer on thick leather.

Yeah, I offered $25 first too. They counteredand then i countered again. So $30.10 all in.

Do you like totes? I bought this one, and I have one similar to it in British Tan. The leather is very thick. I love British Tan, and I too have searched for the perfect British Tan bag. My BT tote like this one is about as close as I've come. I like that the straps are long. I also like the north-south style, which I wasn't sure about at first. The base is rather wide, so I don't find that my stuff gets too stacked up and hard to find.

That's a very interesting bag! I like the long straps. I'm open to trying a new style. My only requirements are that it not be too small and that I can carry it on my shoulder. Oh, and that it doesn't cost a fortune. I don't think I want a satchel. A tote with long straps or duffle-type of bag or stewardess would be fine. I think about 3/4 of vintage bags are too small for everyday use.

I totally agree with you. I need a bag that I can carry on my shoulder, and it can't be too small. For some of my vintage bags, I really have to downsize to make them work. I'm ok with downsizing part of the time, but I usually prefer a little more room, and there are times when I just really need to carry a larger bag.

Oh i forgot i also had a coupon for $5 off as well so that's why it said $35.99
