I saw a lady at the outlet here with a large siggy bag with a long haired chihuahua in it. She was such a sweetie! The lady had a cute blanket in the bottom of the bag so the dog would be boosted up a bit. She probably could have at least 2 Chi's in that bag.
Well, that sounds like my Honey who is a small long coat and a self appointed fashionista! Honey is a trip but she's very cute and adorable so gets away with pretty much anything. I also have Anna who has dark chocolate spots on white. She is a smooth coat and very small but I don't think Anna would put up with being a handbag. She would probably yell and scream to be let out. LOL

Aw! Funny pups! My big pup is 100lbs, the other is about 27lbs. So they are not into getting into bags.

Unless it is the special doggie rolling back pack I have for the 27 pounder.
He loves that thing!

Those are beautiful! That duffel had to be a monster in the bath! Also, how or where do you find the GW coupons? I go there all the time, but have no idea where people get the coupons.

Thanks...yeah, bathing the duffle was more like a wrestling match, but it was nice that it's big enough to be able to turn it inside out to scrub and rinse the inside thoroughly. Our local GW's have coupons on their website...you can either print them, or just show the cashier on a smartphone...usually $5 off $25 or more and $15 off $60 or more, along with 2 other merchandise offers. Of course, they're smart enough to mark a lot of bags at $24.99 so you have to buy something else to get the discount...lol! I understand though that there's a Rewards Program coming that will replace the coupons and involve accruing points based on purchase amounts...website says "coming soon". Don't know when it will start.
Goodwill has regions, which might be a section of a state, a city, or part of a city, and all Goodwills within that region have the same promotions. There aren't any national promotions, and they aren't consistent from region to region. So while some Goodwills have coupons, others in another region don't. When we were traveling around the country, there were regions where all purses were $4 regardless of brand, and other regions less than 50 miles away, where all purses were individually priced and much more expensive. Some had senior discounts every day and some only on a specific day of the week, which was a different day in different regions.

They are complicated! I've seen people with coupons in at least one goodwill I frequent. I'll have to look online and see if i can sign up and get them.

Wow! I have the exact same bag! I bought it at Savers. It wasn't with their nicer bags, but with the junky ones. I don't think they recognized it. I paid about $7, but as you can see, mine was well used, and dirty when I got it. I wasn't able to find out the name , so I'm really glad you know what it's called. I rehabbed it and then never used it. Mine's color is a cross between mustard and wheat.
For AggieK: I found the catalog that has the West End Terrace bag in it. The color of our bags is called Chamois. Just thought you might like to know. :-)

Great job on those, Two.time! It is nice to see the actual differences between two similar styles.
Thanks Cameochi.
So beautiful! Nice to see them together. Can I ask what would be a good price to buy a regular Stewardess? I really like that bag and am so on the search for a NYC bag that would be great for me.
Thanks bigal. I think I got the regular Stew which is a NYC for about $25. Half the turn lock was missing and some of the piping was shredded but fixable. It didn't look pretty in the listing. Like all vintage Coach they seem to vary a lot in price. I find the NYC leather responds really well to rehabbing so if the bag is generally sound it's likely to be a good buy even if the rest of the bag looks faded, scuffed or uneven in colour. I'm always on the look out for poorly listed bags. I paid $39 for the UA.
Both are lovely! Thank you so much for this comparison. I didn't realize the difference in size was so apparent. Nor that the straps were so different.
You're welcome K2020. The difference is quite marked.

Well, I pulled the trigger big time. I have a bid on a tabac stewardess. We'll see what happens there.

But, I have 2 flap NYC bags coming, one olive, one possibly tabac I'm thinking they will be different sizes. And one gray camera bag. Just going a little overboard, but fun! I'm finally able to officially join the vintage ranks!

I nearly bought that lot of two but I have just bought a Camera Bag and have two Classic Pouches on their way so I refrained. Congrats. They were a good price and will rehab beautifully.

Good luck with the Stew.

I also almost bought that lot of two. That olive was hard to resist, but the small size and the high shipping cost scared me away. The seller should have offered to put them in a flat rate box.
