There is a habit in the states to order clothes and accessories for a one or two time use and then return the item. I wonder if this is happening on ebay? ETA.... I also wonder if there is a way to attach a tag with a tagger gun or some other way to prevent the item from being used without the seller knowing. (tag cut off)
Some sellers do attach a tag. I don't know if it is much of a deterrent. I hardly ever sell on ebay anymore because people can return for anything and the seller is stuck paying the postage both ways.

It is discouraging. I started to sell a few bags years ago but gave up when a buyer sent back a perfect bag with damage and said I sent it damaged.

Ebay is weird. I had one negative feedback, which was false, ridiculous and said a suede bag had "cigarette burns" on it. I don't smoke, and there were no burns. Person never contacted me directly, only put the negative feedback I offered a full refund. Or, I offered to send buyer the identical bag (I happened to have another, same color) in much more pristine condition. Silence. Anyway, after a year, that feedback was no longer part of the calculation and again, I had 100% positive feedback. Until yesterday. :( Ebay considers me a "Top Rated Plus" seller, but I'm not interested in listing as such, because that would mean I have to pay the return shipping no matter why they want to return it.

I'm sure I've shared these bags here before, but I had both bags out today to take some pictures. Thought I'd share some vintage Bonnie Cashin to my favorite vintage Coachies.

They’re in such great shape. Your bags are gorgeous!

What year, would you say, these are from?

The pictures are a bit deceiving. Both of them definitely have quite a bit of wear and some damage, but they are overall in pretty good shape. I want to say the Mexican-stripe lining dates them to the late 1960s or early 1970s, but I'm not sure if that is correct. There was a different version of the lining before this version.

I love the Derby bag. I have one in black from years ago. I will tell you, the little piece of leather between the handle and clasp is glued on. I learned this one day when it came undone on a very hot day. Nothing a dot of leather glue didn’t fix. Hope you enjoy this bag as much as I do.

I, too, have had a rehab pile that looks like this. Then, as I realized I was drowning in these bags, I made a big change in how I buy. I can find bags in my area at church sales, white elephants, garage sales--but I don't buy like I used to. Here's what I ask myself: What will I do with this if I can't get a buyer for it? Will I carry it? For so many bags, the answer to the last question is "no". If that's the case, I don't buy. I see a lot of MFF bags, fabric bags, small bags and I just keep on walking. The last small bag I got that I wouldn't wear had 3 views over 4 months listed for sale on ebay. I finally took it in to Coach and got a credit for the exact amount that I hoped to net if it sold. And I didn't have to pack it, ship it or worry about a buyer wanting a return for no real reason at all. I still have that credit, and I'm sure I'll use it eventually, but it taught me that I don't want to buy or rehab bags that I don't want hanging around for months or more. Also, it's so much more fun rehabbing something for myself. Call me cynical, but it's taken years for me to reach this point and I'm not going back.
I am new to catch rehabbing. I decided to start buying and rehabbing to give to my family members, especially those entering the graduating college and share a bit of myself.
