Thank you.
I have attached a picture from the listing (of the creed) the seller took a very clear picture and a second picture of how the color presents after being cleaned (in natural light). T

I checked two of my Spring 2003 catalogs and since that bag apparently was one of the "classics" that was remade between 2003 and 2007 for the Factory Outlet stores, it's not in the full-price catalogs. I don't remember which of the tan colors was used that year for that line that would have had burnished leather since Coach introduced 5 or 6 new colors just for those Factory Store exclusive remakes as well as using some of the old standard colors. Maybe someone who has one of them and still has the price tag or receipt can supply the exact name.

I remember Camel being available in that line at least for the Willis but don't remember if that color would have had a "burnished leather" creed. Between the full-price and the outlet lines, Coach had a LOT of tan shades that year including Doe, Acorn, Saddle, Camel, good old British Tan and heaven only knows how many others, and that's just from ONE catalog.

More opinions are welcome.

I had no idea that there were remakes for the Factory Store. Thank you for looking into it :) I've seen some bags in the shade saddle and those closely resemble it but who really knows.

I have finally been able to lift my pictures off my new phone, which is way smarter than I am. Also, I do not know if this is posted at the right place...mod move if needed.
The first of course is a Prairie and I set her down to do something before going to town. I took a picture, because she looked so nice on our messy patio.

The second, a Park ?, tho never authenticated (later found out a similar one was looked at by the authenticators earlier- I had just forgotten) I have been carrying for a little while now. I usually wear jeans when out and about, so this blue bag matches my outfit. However, the leather is not half as good as on the Prairie and I cannot see it lasting for years.
I now have both, a Prairie and a Rambler Legacy and I'm in love with both. Those vintage bags just cannot be beat for quality and elegance. I'm now hunting both of them in colors :panic:without much hope of finding .
Ok now I'm looking for a Prairie! She's a cutie.

Can someone familiar with the lexington totes please tell me how many different sizes there are? I'm looking for the biggest size but all I'm finding online is the 4181 style and I'm not sure if that IS the biggest. I saw a very small one (in purple!) once. So far I've seen at least the two different sizes then but I thought there was a bigger one with shorter straps.

Thank you! :flowers:

Have you had a chance to look through the vintage catalog scans? Most if not all of the Lexington tote styles are in the scanned pages starting with 1998 Spring:

and running through 1998 Holiday:

What can be confusing is that few if any of the tote styles were actually officially called "Tote".

Thanks so much Hyacinth! I didn't know these existed. What a great resource!

I know you're all my people at heart. This morning, I missed a bag that I've obsessed over for years. I bid ridiculously high and someone was more ridiculous. I'm so depressed. I know--there's always another bag. I know--I should go look through what I already have. I know--the other bidder overpaid and rather him / her than me. I'm still depressed. I sold some Shinola watches to fund this anticipated purchase and that money isn't even burning a hole in my pocket yet. Blah.
I'm also sorry you missed the bag, but your "that money isn't even burning a hole in my pocket yet" just really made me chuckle. After missing out on some bags I really wanted, I have come to think of bidding as more of a game than actual acquisitions. I also have bid way higher than was sane for my needs/wants and found myself breathing a sigh of relief when I was outbid. This also has forced me into assessing what I really wanted. I know this was a bag you really really wanted, but I'm sure there is another one out there for you. Your bucket bags you have had authenticated here have inspired me to look for one, but the size, color and price have to be just right, otherwise I will pass.
