Yeah the hasp bag...even though my own rehabbing has been put on hold for a while, I still love to see how other's turn out. Especially such a rare one like the hasp bag, which I would have never had the nerv to tackle , but which now is in safe hands
I was idly browsing shopgoodwill online a few days ago, and saw the bag. Had not seen the listing before or been watching it. Three minutes or so left in the auction! I verified what I thought I was looking at. Hasp bag! Yep! The description there on the auction: "Worn out leather purse." Not even the word "vintage." Not too much action on the bag. I bid. I won. It's mine! Haven't gotten it in hand yet. There's one dark mark under the flap which *might* be ink...when I get it I'm examining it carefully. I'll be sharing my rehab progress with it on the rehab thread. I know for a fact that if shopgoodwill had used more accurate or descriptive listing terms, I would NOT have gotten that bag and it would have sold for hundreds more than I paid. I think I got lucky!

My internet is acting up lol. I had posted this for authentication but I’m not sure it went through because I cannot find it. I sold this backpack but the buyer says it’s fake because it’s lighter than her other bags. I told her I would ask here since you all are the vintage coach experts! I am 100% certain it’s authentic but I want her to be too! Thank you!!!

Hello Everyone,
This is my first time posting on this thread. :)
But I just finished cleaning this little guy up and couldn't contain my excitement. Anyone have a clue on what the official color is? I don't think it's the camel (I could be wrong) because the the creed states it's burnished leather. It's a little more on the taupe brownish side

Please include a clear photo of the creed and serial number. We usually need to know the style number, year and month the bag was made to determine the possible colors.

Thank you.
I have attached a picture from the listing (of the creed) the seller took a very clear picture and a second picture of how the color presents after being cleaned (in natural light). T
