Question I’m having the knowledgeable folks here can help me with. :flowers:

Does anyone know the names (and maybe have photos?) of Coach styles that have the buckles attached to the bag with an extension of the side leather? Not a separate piece that’s stitched on, just a larger cut of the leather. I don’t know what to call this part, but an example is the Courier and how its buckles are attached on the sides to leather that extends a bit past the top of the bag.

The bags I know that have this feature are:
- Courier
- Musette
- Classic ( Shoulder?)
- Carrier
- OG Rambler

Do any other these include a front turnlock?

Anything other bags you can thing of?

Thank you in advance!

This was a common design element on early bags. I have a precreed bag designed like that. Rambler's Legacy and Janice's Legacy too. My precreed bag has two front turnlocks. Rambler's legacy has a turnlock.

The Stewardess has a front turn lock and the types of buckles you describe.

Is it OK to ask "what color is this?" questions here? I've found a green canteen bag. Or, so I think. Seller called it "bone" and for sure I know it's not that. Here are some photos. They copied and pasted someone else's listing description (on ebay), so I don't even know if it's the Chester or the Mini-Chester...

It's probably bottle green. I don't think there is a mini Chester. The smaller size is called a canteen bag. I think all canteen bags have the style number in the creed so yours should be a Chester. Is it about 9 x 7 1/2?

Thank you for the color! :) I haven't received it yet, so I don't know the exact dimensions. I think that's about what the listing said, but I bought it without trusting the listing.

Another question. I see a lot about the leather feel for different ages and locations. It’s always so interesting!

Does anyone have an opinion on a Made in US bag vs. a Made in Turkey?

I'm looking to add a Casino to my collection and there are two I like -- a US in BT and Turkey in Mahogany -- and I’m wondering which might be more of that buttery, chewy feel.

For instance, I have a pre-9927 Made in US Willis (Bottle Green) that is super stiff compared to one made in China that I can practically roll in half. And I love the green, but carrying the bag makes me nuts because I want it to be a little slouchy and stretchy.

Is it just a crapshoot?
