I wanna add a dark coloured Gracie next year & a black 9826 belt bag. Id love to find an affordable black Winnie but it’s not a priority.

A rarer find for me would be something Bonnie Cashin with a kiss lock & within my budget. An even rarer find would be a purple Small Zippered Pouch, I want one SO bad!

Non-Coach…Im obsessed with looking at the Gucci Marmont, Horsebit & Ophidia bags. So much eye candy!
*sigh*… A girl can dream! :girlsigh:
@Coachaddict4020 I just bought a mint black Winnie from a seller I have purchased from before. I negotiated the price down and purchased directly from the seller. It’s shipping in a few days!

I sold all the bags I didn’t “love” recently & I feel lighter, like a weight has been lifted. I tried to take some pics for the flex thread but the lighting was horrible. I might try again when I don’t feel so crappy (got sick & lost my voice over the weekend). Highly recommend a purge if you feel like you have too many bags, it feels so good to free up space!
I’ve been purging bags this past 18 months. Have given away about 50 and recently gave two NWT larger bags (not vintage but from the 2012 legacy collection). That really helped and I’m not carrying larger bags right now. Those came from my gift closet where I keep the new stuff I give away as gifts. Unfortunately, I love both my newer and vintage bags and it’s gotten harder to purge.

On the other hand, I’ve got most of what I want in vintage bags and prices are ridiculous now so I’m not inclined to buy much in 2022. Famous last words…..

Why would someone "professionally distress" this pretty bag?

It makes me thinks that there are stains on this bag that would not respond to cleaning. Or that maybe this is a creative soul. It reminds me of animal print (I recently caught a snippet of the Kennel show and a dalmatian was being shown and there was discussion about the size and general appearance of the spots).

Very early I know but thought I would get people thinking now.

What are your Coach handbag goals for 2022.?

Mine...I havent bought from Ebay for a while as the prices for bags to rehab have risen too much for me to justify buying.

But there are some I would like to have.

Manor...on its way soon...in no hurry my friend as family is more important.

A Bleecker tattersall flap bag of some sort.

Would like a made in Italy bag at some stage...what style I dont know.

Dream to get a Bonnie Cashin...but I am dreaming about that one.

Pony...again...a dream...not realistic.

I have to financially be a bit more careful in 2022...and also will be re-evaluating my diet..*sigh*

Non Coach bags...

Gucci...just one..did have the style I wanted in mind but now I just dont know.

Prada...have a nylon bag I love but want a leather one of some style.

You all know that this list could change at any given search on enay.

Whats yours for 2022?
A red Side Pack 9979, $125 or less, please!!! Buy would also take any another color at a bargain price to give it a rest run.

My other goal is to finish up some rehabs. A few just need Renapur and brass polishing. I have been busy with cleaning, going through boxes that have been in storage, going through closets, and organizing (among other things, my bag collection) so I have put finishing up a few bags on the back burner. And I have a few bags that either need a spa day, or maybe an app of an additional product to give it a bit more luster.

Also, I would like to take the action to move several bags out. Along the way I have picked up many inexpensive bags (including non-vintage) and rehabbed them and then passed them on to friends or donated them. The first thing I want to do is contact a friend I have not spoken to in a while to see if she is interested (she has expressed interest in general in the past). I know at least a third of my bags can go.

I want to see if I can spend some time in or at least reading the "Shopping my Closet" thread (it's called something close to that) as that is where I am, in terms of organizing my shoes, clothes, bags and house items etc. I am not necessarily looking to pare down to exclusively to what I use every day, but I have a lot of things that can go, because I just don't see the need to give them shelf, closet or storage space. I am going back to the "Bag of the Week" thread. That really helped me decide yay or nay on a few bags. I have things that I forget I have because they were buried under other things!

I want to go to flea markets and find Holy Grail bags! And a box of catalogs! And a baseball hangtag! I'm early, Happy New Year to all my friends here, even the lurkers who share the love of vintage Coach :smile::smile: Thank goodness I had on-line vintage shopping and my on-line friends here during the long periods of physical distancing in the last (almost) 2 years!

Somehow the Coach 'reloved' drops always suck me in. For those of you who own a vintage crescent, I have a question. Are they always this small? Could the measurements be incorrect? 6" by 7"? Sounds quite mini. LOVE the color.

I just measured mine, it’s around 9.5” x 11”. I agree it’s a really nice color!

Hmmm, a small courier, any colour. That's about it unless another crescent comes along.
I have some bags right now that I'm not even feeling enough to rehab. Not even to resell.
I'd love to be able to peek into everyone's closet (THAT doesn't sound too creepy!). One person's albatross is another's unicorn.

Can peek into mine if you like

Haha! I'd love to do it in person! New Zealand is on my bucket list. It's probably both as far from and as close to Canada that you can get!

My Crescent Bag notes say:
"9235 - Crescent Bag, 10x10x3, 1983 Fall, goes back to at least 1976 w stamped cartouche, discont. 1984? Has seam on flap.
Like Saddle Bag #9988 but shorter top to bottom. Brought back as Retro 1991 Anniv.
Jed says there was also a Large Saddle or Crescent Bag # 9210 made in NYC with a center seam on the flap, 13x10", maybe 3 sizes altogether. "

So my guess is that there WERE 3 sizes and that's the Small. TOO small but that's JMO.

There's a new 2022 thread for shopping my collection. https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...n-bag-and-slg-collection-anyone-else.1048698/

That looks horrible! Not like normal patina at all!

It makes me thinks that there are stains on this bag that would not respond to cleaning. Or that maybe this is a creative soul. Even if that bag has stains that they are trying to hide, I don't think they have improved the appearance with "distressing". I am not usually a big fan of dyeing bags but if there's no chance of rehabbing a stained bag then I figure that dying is the best option - unless you got it cheap and you just want to use it for parts.

I wonder what kind of "professional" was used to distress that bag?
