Besides the actual length of the strap you also have to consider where on the bag the strap is actually mounted. The Lula's Legacy has a 55-inch strap according to Coach, but no outside pocket, and the strap ends are mounted about 2 inches BELOW the top of the bag because of the drawstring, so the usable strap drop is shorter than it would seem just going by the strap measurement.
You also have to consider that straps used with buckled ends are not going to have grommets all the way out to the ends of the strap. Also, the wider the bag is at the top where the strap is attached, the longer the strap is going to "fit", if that makes any sense, especially if you're zaftig like me.
I've lost count of how many bags I had to return or donate because what sounded like a nice long length in the description was just too short when I tried it. The longest strap on any of my Coaches actually came with a fake. Needless to say I destroyed the bag and kept the strap. The bags I have with the longest straps are actually Kiplings and LeSportsacs.
The Fall 1994 catalog has listings for most of those "name" Legacy bags from 1994. You might want to look through the catalog scans to find bags with the right features, if you haven't done that already.

I’m feeling every case you described between how my court, swagger, Abbie, janices legacy, lulas legacy, all fit me, I believe I can shop 48” straps Also. I think I’ll try a Patricias Legacy next. The bags also have different dimensions, the $750 one is smaller 6inx7inx2in and the $550 one is 9x9x2.
I know the holidays might not be what everyone hoped they would be, but I’m thankful that at least we have the technology available to feel closer to each other even when our loved ones can’t be with us.

Mine...I havent bought from Ebay for a while as the prices for bags to rehab have risen too much for me to justify buying.
But there are some I would like to have.
Manor...on its way soon...in no hurry my friend as family is more important.
A Bleecker tattersall flap bag of some sort.
Would like a made in Italy bag at some stage...what style I dont know.
Dream to get a Bonnie Cashin...but I am dreaming about that one.
Pony...again...a dream...not realistic.
I have to financially be a bit more careful in 2022...and also will be re-evaluating my diet..*sigh*

I wanna add a dark coloured Gracie next year & a black 9826 belt bag. Id love to find an affordable black Winnie but it’s not a priority.
A rarer find for me would be something Bonnie Cashin with a kiss lock & within my budget. An even rarer find would be a purple Small Zippered Pouch, I want one SO bad!

I have a Brahmin on the way and may consider another.
I've made a decision to stay in my comfort zone money wise (under $300) so the only way I'll get a designer brand is if I find a bargain. There is a Tod's I really love but it is $1600. Even if I wanted to spend that much, they have horrible resale value so it wouldn't make sense. If it went on sale, it would still be too much.
There are a few Bal colors I'd like. I've noticed that prices of used Bals have gone up a lot; most are out of my comfort zone.
I'd like a BV nodini. Again these are too expensive. I'd also like another BV cervo shoulder bag but I'm picky about the color.
Now that the IRS is requiring sale income over $600 to be reported, I'm not sure I want to continue selling. The record keeping may be too difficult. If I don't sell, I have to stop buying.
I rarely browse resale sites anymore. It isn't very fun. So unless I stumble across something, I won't be buying there.
We are remodeling our kitchen in the next few months which is costing a bundle. Maybe I'll get more interested in cooking.
I might try to reorganize my purse room.

I might try again when I don’t feel so crappy (got sick & lost my voice over the weekend). Highly recommend a purge if you feel like you have too many bags, it feels so good to free up space!
I want a stroll tote (either the remake one or an original BC one), preferably in yellow! Also the ever elusive geometric roll bag #9045. I also want to add another rogue, I think maybe the beatnik one but I’m always changing my mind on this.
