Agree. They would lose too much face. Assuming only the good leather fakes would make it through, even they might not realize it wasn't a real one.
I mean really. Lotsa close fake bags out there, especially the vintage icon staple, the Willis.
I am sure they would tap dance around it, per their PR. They would have to.
Maybe they would give me all the bags I want to keep quiet!
It wouldn't surprise me at all if it happens. And I doubt very much if anyone interested in one of those bags and asks Coach for a photo of the creed and serial number is going to get one!
If Coach can't or won't send a photo of the creed and serial number to a potential buyer so it can be authenticated, I'd be very hesitant about buying. And I'd still like to see what one of those creeds actually looks like and if Coach makes any changes to them.
All you gotta do is buy a black dinky & go on Etsy & buy a few Peanuts patches & you can DIY this yourself with some e6000 glue lol. Oh shoot, nobody tell Coach!!!
Just won the auction on this lovely mocha (I think) squeeze key case. I had been picturing and wanting something like it for my key for ages so when I came across it it was an easy decision.
I forgot to ask, would that work??

I have a "good leather" fake Willis that feels and looks exactly like 1990s genuine Coach full-grain leather. Even the pores in the leather under 10x magnification are correct. Someone judging it only by the leather quality would very easily mistake it for genuine. I wouldn't trust ANYONE at Coach to spot what outed it as a fake. I only realized it was a fake serial number when another one with exactly the same 7-digit all-number serial 0974-534 showed up on Ebay and I decided to check my bag because part of the number was the same as an old phone number I'd had. The only red flag besides 2 bags with identical numbers was an inside pocket zipper that didn't extend all the way to the edging on the pocket.

Actually it wasn’t meant to be! The seller never got back to me & the next morning I saw that there was actually a partial creed pic in the listing. Im pretty sure it’s a fake! Anyways, so then I bid on what I thought was a black lunchbox but the more I stared at it after winning the auction, I realized it was navy! So now Im hoping its one of those “so dark it looks black” types of navy in person because I really wanted to use my black court’s thick strap on it!

Was there a barrel bag type style ever made in the form of vintage Coach? I’ve only seen a Bonnie Cashin one that’s long and skinny (I think) and the geometric roll bag 9045 kind of mimics one too. Are there anymore? I wonder if I should just give up and think about getting an archive remake, haha
