It looks great. Is the dye from same place as the black dye for Courier? I never know dye and paint can be mixed together, thanks for posting this.

Thank you! Yes, same place as the courier dye. Like I said, it’s very tricky to mix in paint because after a certain amount, it will change the dye & how it applies. I found out the company also colour matches but they charge extra to do it. I could have colour matched an exact rust shade but honestly, for a dinky, it just wasn’t worth it lol

I didn’t know where else to share this but I was looking through Instagram and came across Cameron Diaz carrying what I believe is the petite Pelham Zip in black

There is actually a thread for celebrities and their Coach bags! Go to the main forum page, and it is buried in the second page of threads.

Is anyone else baffled on who can afford to pay these prices for vintage coach?

I feel like because of this, the used marketplace for vintage coach is getting really high now and you cannot find deals like you used to....

Wow, if anyone wants to pay me $695 cad for each of my Willises, I’ll sell them all!!

We were talking about this a few pages back in the thread. At the time, they didn’t have the Willis, small flap, Quincy or lunchbox listed. Those prices are honestly insane! :faint:

I wonder if the creeds are the same as the old ones...they seem to have new style codes on the “new” vintage bags...or wonder if they made any modifications to those before re-selling them...so people could not try to return to store without receipt for credit on an old bag to them...

The restored collection is online only. They can look up people’s orders in their system. I think you’re right though, they probably did do something to the creeds so that they’ll be able to tell the difference! Maybe adding a stamp or something?

Yes, true. I also feel that this is encouraging many folks to be flippers- not collectors. And that is driving prices up. Inventory is there, thousands of listings for vintage coach on resale sites. But the problem is that every flipper with a black Patty or Willis thinks they can get $200 for it, when in reality they are plentiful and worth far less. The market is hot right now, it will cool off when all those flippers figure out it isn't as easy money as they hoped.

And if anyone would pay $295 or 395 US for my Made in NYC Dinky or Pocket Purse, I would be all, say hello to your new purse mommy

Mine would be my red Post Pouch or my rust Pony. I just love to look at them but I won't carry them very often. Maybe once in a while or to a special occasion event but they're definitely not daily carry bags. One day I would like to carry my Pony into a Coach store and see if anyone recognizes it. Just for fun and for a reason to go.

Life distracted me from tpf the last few days so I am catching up. I did carry a Rambler's Legacy into a Coach store in the States. The manager recognized it, she gave me 2 dust bags at no charge!!!

I am really curious too if the original creed is being altered.

I am also curious as to if YouTubers are a significant factor in the vintage Coach being a hot ticket.

I payed less then thirty dollars for my black Willis and mahogany Rambler, that was just before the pandemic struck and the Rambler came with scarf. Does that mean when I'm walking out my Willises I can stick my nose in the air and proclaim "that is a 700$ purse."

$750 for a large Daypack?!? Who is out there that can buy a $750 backpack but can’t go on poshmark or ebay and buy one at the steep (imo) price of $200 or less? It’s not even in a cool color that would deserve that price, it’s just mahogany.
