I think the amount of water and tree bark etc. they use for vegetable tanning is 100% better than using toxic metals that end up in the soil and in the ocean. Where a lot of chrome tanned leather is made is in China and they don’t have the best environmental protection laws, so it’s worse because they’re most likely not disposing of it correctly. https://www.forbes.com/sites/olivia...-promoting-it-as-sustainable/?sh=66cfed5a517b Here’s an article about one company switching from chrome to veg, I agree with most of it except that veg tan leather is apparently stiffer than chrome? Comparing my bags, it’s the other way around.
You are right, especially if harvest trees carefully , with renewal plan in mind. Plus veg tanned leather smells very pleasant. Oiled & waxed veg tanned leather can be very nice and soft, while non oiled veg tanned leather is stiffer, they are used for tooling, they can be conditioned after tooling, and will get softer with use.

Interesting. I only have my fake Willis and the dowel really bugs me because it’s heavy enough that it drags the top handle backwards. Then because it does that, when I access my phone in the back pocket, the dowel bumps my hand. :annoyed: Maybe coz the fake ones are made worse, I don’t know. Glad you like your Willis though. It really is a smart looking bag.
I've seen this on authentic Willis bags too. Usually with rehabbing I can get it better but maybe not completely. I think the leather can get stretched out which would cause this to happen. When I carried one, I was pretty obsessive about making sure it stayed upright.

Unfortunately there is a quality issue, I seems can’t solve the problem of colour transfer, so the charm making is on hold for the time being. Will really hate myself if the charm I made ruin other TPF’er bag. I sent out warning messages to everybody already. Thanks.
No! I’m so disappointed. I really wanted one. Hope you get it resolved.

Willis 9927 is my favorite, 34 and another red one arriving tomorrow! I’d love to see photos of your fake Willis.

I appreciate all the tutorial and material info you posted. You have me thinking!

Here is my new pretty of the day, a daypack in ink/dark purple! It really only looks purple in the sun, at least for these aging eyes, haha! I now have 3 daypacks and it all happened fairly suddenly, sooo I gotta stop now, lol. They really do seem to multiply on their own.

I like it, but I may be biased because I’ve always liked backpacks, haha. It’s a good size for essentials, you can be hands-free and active and have the weight evenly distributed on both shoulders. I will say though, I gave one to my mom (who also likes backpacks) and on the shortest strap setting it fell too low for her to like it. She is 5’2”. I’m 5’6” and it hits at mid, almost lower back, on the shortest setting. I’ve also heard that for those who are shorter, the straps will fall off shoulders easily. That doesn’t happen to me. I’m not sure at what height or torso length those things would start to occur at, but just to be aware.

The Coach x Sephora stuff though...those brushes are too cute! I want the unicorn, but would pop the shadows out lol.
I just ordered the lip gloss set from the Sephora collaboration. I was curious if anyone else from the forum had gotten anything from it yet. I didn't even realize it was a thing until I saw an ad on social media.

Here are some photos. When I saw the seller’s pics, it was only the outside. Then I got home and saw inside and the lack of front pocket was a giveaway. Then I saw the creed and it was full on fake  should have asked for more pics!image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg
