Joodlz stopped posting just before my time. Since the poster I am thinking of left, and I have my suspicions why, I am inclined to let it go at that.Joodlz was in Florida. She got some great deals.
And yes, on the FL gulf coast, a few years back, I lucked into a recent donation at a GW, and I thought passed away or downsizing . There must have been 10 - 12 bags . I scored 3 bags, $25 each plus tax. Never saw that many bags in that store ago.Ive noticed Florida is also a hot spot for vintage coach. Makes sense, lots of old retirees live there. I can imagine when they pass, they might have a vintage coach bag or 2 (or an entire collection) that gets donated with their belongings or found at the estate sale their next of kin organized. When I visit the US, Im making it my mission to hit every thrift store possible just to take a look at the bag section Lol
More than once I've been in a thrift store asking for Coach and have been told that somebody came in and cleared out all the Coaches 1/2 hour before I got there. And yes, on the FL gulf coast, a few years back, I lucked into a recent donation at a GW, and I thought passed away or downsizing . I’m glad to hear I am not the only one who has dreams like thisI have dreams where I walk into a thrift store and find my dream vintage coach bags for like $10...I wake up very disappointed lol. Its probably a sign that I need to stop looking at vintage coach listings right before I go to bed haha
I live in South Carolina and I can find some great bags and great prices at my favorite local resale shop but I haven't been to a store since March and I think it's still going to be awhile. And eBay has gotten so pricey. The thing about living in Canada is, I have never in my life come across vintage coach in a thrift store the way I see people in the US do. When the demand goes up (which it now has), my cheap ebay bag supply goes with it! Its like a bag ban Im forced into lol!
Did you include me?Rare, unknown Dakota style. I think 3 members of tpf have one.

They’re hard to find in the thrift stores here on the MS Gulf Coast, but they do pop up. I have four Goodwills and a Salvation Army store within 10 miles of me and have only ever found two bags - the brown Court ($29.99 US, I think) (ETA: Just looked at my past post and I paid $19.99) that was deemed fake on the AT thread and my 2006 black Willis ($39.99 US) with the nickel hardware. Not vintage but beautiful and in pristine condition! Either people don’t donate the bags or the staff at our stores is great at pulling them as they arrive to post on the website. Found a Legacy Drawstring for $39 US at Style Encore. Now, my LetGo and FB Marketplace finds were unbelievable. Three bags each for $10 each and $5 each, respectively! You can search my past posts to see them all. But finding those was sheer luck. The FB ones I stumbled upon by accident. I never check but just happened to while my husband and I were driving to see the latest Star Wars on a much-needed date away and saw them posted. We tuned the car around and met the girl in a Sam’s parking lot ten minutes later! She’d already sold a Pocket Purse, dang it!The thing about living in Canada is, I have never in my life come across vintage coach in a thrift store the way I see people in the US do.
