I would dunk it. I don't see much downside. I think it is beautiful and dunking can only make it more beautiful.

It’s going into a bath tomorrow! I was leaning towards doing it because I want to wash all my bags I get these days but was afraid of messing it up since it’s a color (... a very precious color to me haha) I’ve never dunked before.
I actually just dunked my purple sling, I was afraid initially as well. I put to much CPR on it and it started to get chalky so I gave it a bath. Let me tell you the color became so much richer, I'm glad I dunked. It is a little stiff it needs another coat of renapur but other than that it looks new.Okay, you convinced me
Does anybody feel tempted by this (non-authenticated!) Basic Bag? I can't really justify shipping and import duties on another smallish green bag, but...I wants it! Could I live vicariously through one of you? Or maybe you could talk me out of it? Please tell me how impractical it is, how it doesn't fit anything and how the lack of compartments annoys you.

Posted in the mini reveal thread, too. My pocket purses in green and red. As I mentioned in previous posts, the green is in mint condition. The red not so much, but she cleaned up beautifully. The strap is a different color (and not the original strap at 55 inches) and it didn’t come with a hang tag, so the bag is three shades of red. 
I want the color. Other than that, it's impractical, doesn't fit my needs, and the lack of compartments would annoy me.

Thanks for the clarification! Weird that they are pretty much the exact same bag plus some depth/different straps. So...it's a little fatter than the Basic Bag...probably fits a bit more...but I'm sure you're right in that it's impractical, and the lack of compartments seems super annoying!I want the color. Did the Basic Bag come with the...lets call it tagliatelle strap instead of the spaghetti one though?I want the color. Other than that, it's impractical, doesn't fit my needs, and the lack of compartments would annoy me.
