A purple kimball - seller mixed up the packages and sent me a brown small sidepack (I don’t know what the style name is for it) instead. She told me she’s been trying to message the other buyer to return it but they haven’t been responding and the transaction is about to close, which means the other buyer can just keep it, it seems. The other one is a gray collegiate - it’s past the 3 days in which the seller has to ship the item and I haven’t heard from them. There’s still a chance I can get these two bags but I’m not really going to put any hope into it.
Was this second bag a Mercari purchase? Because I had this happen to me too. Four days and nothing, I sent the seller a message and they asked me if I wanted to cancel. No! Send me my item! Seller didn't reply to that message so I contacted Mercari and they went "well, we can prod the seller or you can cancel." I say prod, I assume they did, still nothing so I contact Mercari AGAIN. Item finally ships almost two weeks after I bought it, but I did get it. Worst part? It didn't let me give the seller under a four star rating, because the item was in good condition as described.

That being said, I got a really good deal on the item so I'm honestly thinking the seller was hoping I would cancel so they could resell for a better price. Well, too bad!

Tldr, don't be afraid to contact Mercari... even more than once.

That bag sold faster than I expected. Thanks everyone! I talked to the Mercari seller and from what she relayed to me, it’s evident she was lied to. Honestly at this point I’m not sure what else to do that would accomplish anything because the bag is already sold... except to be aware when dealing with that particular seller (FYI she also sells on Mercari: Isssamar’s Closet - I see a couple of vintage coach bags, same furry blanket rug background).

Edit: I also always believe that we might not necessarily know the whole story, and maybe this is the first time she’s done this, and hopefully won’t do it again... mainly thanks to you guys, the vigilantes of vintage coach bag... justice!! With special focus on purple!!

A couple times a seller sent me the wrong thing and sent mine to someone else. In one case, the thing I ordered was better and I was so worried the other buyer would keep it, but she didn't and eventually I got my package. In another case, the seller realized her mistake before I got it and told me not to even open it. I think it must have been something valuable because she was very concerned.

@CPSE I am sorry to say this but you are not getting your purple bag. It was just listed on Poshmark by this dishonest seller Mary G from Chicago

Shame on you POSH AMBASSADOR I G: POSHLOVERLU - guadis26

What kind of dishonest person would do that?

It looks like she sold the listing but here it is:

Can anything be done for CPSE? This is horrible! I would consider it theft! Does the original seller have any legal options for forcing a return? Maybe a USPS claim if it could be considered mail fraud or something? I am so angry about this.
Legally, I don't think there's anything you can do unless you were to sue guadis26 in Small Claims court.

However, @CPSE - I would think you can contact Poshmark and let them know what happened. Show them the listing you bought and the item that guadis26. Include the screenshots that @houseof999 posted showing the same stains.

Although I've never been impressed by the actions of Poshmark, there's a possibility that you might encourage them to do the right thing and at the very least, sanction the account of the thief.

It also wouldn't hurt to post on PM's facebook page!

How can you take a package that wasn't even yours and than sell it! That's such a d**k move. I hope the original seller is giving @CPSE her money back, and letting her keep the bag she sent.

About a year ago I was on a pearl kick and was sure I would luck into an antique natural strand like others on a pearl site I posted on. Ordered a strand off Etsy that was most likely not natural, but the hope was there. I received a teapot charm due to the seller’s error and the other buyer kept my strand. Returned the charm, got my money back, but the other buyer gave a whole and dance about how it was impossible for her to afix a return label and put it in her mailbox to send back.

At the time I posted, I didn't realize that GUADIS26 (on Poshmark) had purchased as Isssamar’s Closet (on Mercari). Since she cheated on 2 different sites, @CPSE should report her to BOTH SITES.

And just to confirm, there's no doubt that both are the same person. Compare their pictures.

Does she sell on eBay too? I think I recognize that fuzzy background.
I don't think she has an account on ebay. If she does, she's not selling the same items as on Mercari and Poshmark. I've searched and can't find anything (yet) but if there is one, I'll keep searching for it.
