Does anyone have a Madison Carnegie clutch? Just purchased one online for my mom and I'm wondering about the size. Looks a bit bigger than the purse I'm helping her replace. Also ended up ordering a newer black Coach crossbody/clutch she liked, so I'm also hoping she'll let me keep the Carnegie:giggle:
I can post pics. Do you want to see what fits in it? Or want to see a comparison pic next to another bag?
ETA: it's half in taller and longer than a 1941 Dinky bag.

I am new to Coach and have gotten my first 2 older/almost vintage bags - a well-rehabbed 2001 made in Costa Rica mahogany pocket purse 9755, and a new condition 2007 made in US red pocket purse 9755. I have noticed that the leather on the mahogany bag seems much softer and nicer than the red bag. I know there can be a wide difference in leathers depending on year, where it was made, etc., so I am just curious if you all can enlighten me a little bit. I don’t know if this is because the brown bag is more used and the red bag will soften over time, or if the brown bag is made in Costa Rica vs the red bag made in US, or if it’s because the brown bag is 2001 and the red bag is 2007, or maybe a combination of all these factors? Any thoughts are greatly appreciated!
Are you sure the red bag was made in 2007? Coach wasn't making bags in the US in 2007. Did you get them authenticated?

The universe is working against me in getting the last 2 bags (which of course, are the ones I was most excited to get) I ordered in my purchasing frenzy... maybe telling me I got too many and to start my bag ban now. Haha. Ok universe! I hear you! Even though I am very disappointed! Quit teasing me like that! Haha

Which bags and what happened?

Which bags and what happened?
A purple kimball - seller mixed up the packages and sent me a brown small sidepack (I don’t know what the style name is for it) instead. She told me she’s been trying to message the other buyer to return it but they haven’t been responding and the transaction is about to close, which means the other buyer can just keep it, it seems. The other one is a gray collegiate - it’s past the 3 days in which the seller has to ship the item and I haven’t heard from them. There’s still a chance I can get these two bags but I’m not really going to put any hope into it.

Oh no not the purple Kimball! Well if it shows up on the resale market we will all know what happened.

@CPSE I am sorry to say this but you are not getting your purple bag. It was just listed on Poshmark by this dishonest seller Mary G from Chicago

I am 100% sure it's the same bag @CPSE
I took pics of both bags and I have no doubt this was the one you were supposed to receive. :crybaby::hugs: As for the seller can someone hit her with a purse please!? :bagslap:

yep...same bag....and so dishonest....and hugely disappointing for @CPSE

No way, she really kept the bag!!! I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt too. It’s further confirmed because the seller told me the buyer she sent the wrong bag to was in IL. You totally called it @houseof999, because I really wasn’t expecting it to show up in resale. Oh well. That bag wasn’t meant to be mine in the end, I guess... thanks for letting me know!

I'm really sorry. Karma will get her. You're right, that bag isn't meant for you! Your purple Kimball that's meant for you will find you soon and it will be in much better condition! Be patient! :hugs:
