There was a yellow with brass hardware. It could be faded.
ETA: I don't think there was a camel around that time with brass hardware.

The 96 yellow was more muted than my daypack, which is a 98, and could most likely be faded like @whateve said, or just dry and dirty. Go back and get it! Lol.
It is more muted. Ha! I bought it. It needs a dunk and some love but it has some serious potential. I'll post photos when I get home.

Worst case scenario, I have some waterproof bandages from when my husband had stitches on his hand, so I thought about covering it with one of those when dunking?

Well you give it a bath with, mild soap. Than reshape, and condition whole it drys.
