Whether or not marrying her was a good decision, he can divorce her if he wants to. He'll lose some of his fortune, but he would make some if not all of it back before his NBA career is over plus have his freedom. Point blank, he may be happy with his decision regardless of if his parents and handlers are not.

ETA: I just read the Newsweek article. Isn't it funny how he was bred for all this fame and glory since he was a child, and his parents apparently got what they wanted, just not in the way they wanted.
