Price increases are more common in the last ~3-4 years. Previously they were quite far apart; years apart, and even some price decreases - one decrease for most items, and some select price decreases for a few lines at a time just within the last 7-8 years), so for the past 3-4 years I do not see a pattern as of yet. It seems around Christmas time/New Year and/or around Summer there have been increases more often than not in the last couple of years, but the increases have become acutely so much more frequent that it is really hard to tell if it is by chance or design.
Thank you! I was trying to decide if I should wait to purchase during a potential Japan trip but have decided against it as one price increase would offset any savings. Thank you! You are so knowledgeable :)

Glad to help! I think you are safe for a little while, but I would be more concerned about availability than an unexpected impending price increase. So with that in mind, I would say to go ahead and get it now, unless the piece you have in mind is very readily available.

Yes, I purchased YG pave earrings at the Seoul Maison boutique in Korea. I would’ve saved $600 usd in Japan but I didn’t want to risk any price increase or stock issues as I am not sure when I’d make it there. I will say, Korea had amazing stock at almost all their locations! These were in stock at 4 different boutiques in Seoul and I feel that they’re harder to locate in the US. Love them!

Wondering if anyone knows of any upcoming price increases? When do price increases usually happen? From 1 January?
Global price increase speculation happens as Japan has the tradition to inform their customers (up to 2 weeks) before a price increase happens.
This has applied to other brands before such as LV & Bvlgari.
However Richemont's VCA & Cartier will now adopt silent increases.

Price increase is random and not adjusted necessarily on 1 January which Rolex does.
With prices of gold hitting a new high in 2025, the next increase would be drastic.

Thank you so much for the elaborate reply. Do you happen to know when the last VCA increase took place?

Did you happen to see any chalcedony bracelets?

Anyone speculate that there could be a price decrease? Last price decrease for VCA was in 2017, under a certain U.S. president. VCA claimed the price drop was from lack of demand. A perlee bangle peaked at $29k and dropped to $25k that year.

Given the import tariffs coming up with same said president next month, could luxury prices go down since the next four years will be difficult per Elon Musk? I heard retailers for common goods are stocking up based on these tariffs.

I just wonder since prices have been pretty crazy across luxury goods including Chanel over the years in the U.S.
