oh ame, i am so sorry you're dissatisfied with this ring. personally i think the lower setting is just gorgeous! :drool: but, at the end of the day, if neither you or your husband are happy, then you must change it. you will be so unhappy in the long run if you don't.

i may be in the minority, but i honestly think this new ring compared to your old one (higher vs. lower setting) is so much more modern and beautiful. i love the prongs and the side view is just a work of art. but again, if you're dissatisfied, then get it changed.

also, i notice you have the sizing beads on the ring. may i ask why when the jeweler had it and reworked it they couldn't size it properly? my apologies if this has already been discussed in this thread, as i just skimmed through it.

The jeweler hasn't done any work on this ring. He sent it right to Vatche for a slight size up (they did the beads there also) and fixed the lil nick but refuse to raise the head. And neither myself nor my husband nor my jeweler wants to mess with it. I cannot afford any more work on this anyway. This was already beyond my budget, and having to redo my wedding band is more than I was hoping for.

The size of my knuckle is more than a full size larger than my finger, which is why I have beads, but this needed up a hair bec with three rings on it was just too snug.
 
Thank you! I am NOT pleased with the workmanship though, and their customer "service" is atrocious, so I strongly advise you consider having it remade by a more competent jeweler.

My ring size is about a 5.25 on the finger itself and about a 6.5 on the knuckle.

The stone is a 1.15 ct.
 
I think the ring is beautiful! I'm sorry you're unhappy with it. It's sad to see a company have such terrible customer service. Considering what they charge for their designs, they should do whatever it takes to make you happy!
 
You would THINK that, but evidently they do not agree. IF I get it back, I know I will never trust it's quality.

So much for "trusting the brand" that I paid for.

Nope I haven't gotten it back yet. I was hoping tomorrow...but I expect nothing as promised from them anymore.
 
I picked it up tonight. I haven't been able to really inspect it bec it was dark by then and the store lights were not cooperating. It LOOKS to us like they reshanked it. Because the sizing beads look totally diff and are closer together (which I like actually), I can't tell if they reset the stone in a new head, or if they just didn't do it "right" but that looks slightly off. I will be inspecting it in the morning in daylight so hopefully it's acceptable. I am planning to mail them a letter outlining my serious disappointment. IF they read it I would hope they would consider the points for the future so they don't upset anyone else!
