I am going over to the jewelers this afternoon to figure out waht to do. I simply don't think they're capable or interested in fixing this stuff. I emailed a guy that worked for vatche until recently asking who I can talk to there about my disappointment. I simply do not understand how a ring that costs over $2000 is so hard to properly make.
 
I just left. It's being sent back. He thinks me wearing it is unsafe. The stone is not set right and itdoes not look good. He took some closeup pics and will email to me as well as to vatche.
 
I should have photos to post shortly. The jeweler took a TON of photos that showed how low-quality the work was. Two of the prongs are not even TOUCHING the diamond when it's louped under 10x. You can see one is not touching without a loupe.

I emailed the guy Chris at ERD that used to work for Vatche and kind of unloaded on him. I had emailed with him prior to my order, asking a TON of questions. The quality of the work on the other ring was vastly better, despite the defect. The crack thing was as a result of them "fixing" the defect, which I should have left alone.

The polishing on this is not well done, the wire work is OK but the diamond is not set properly nor is it set level. This is just not a well made piece, and we only assume that they remade it in the last week because they didn't think they could fix the other issue without remaking it.

He said that when he sends the pics and talks to them he's going to ask what they propose as a fix. We both are kind of done, I want my refund from them so we can either duplicate this one to my specs, or we can go another route. I LOVE the head, that's what I liked about the design. But I am so beyond done with them. I paid extra for a designer name because I thought that guaranteed me higher quality and a good warranty. What good is a warranty if the initial product is crap!?

I will say I don't know how you've held it together so well! I believe that I already stated the ugly things that happen when a 4'10" Chinese woman cries.....want me to cry for them?? I have a talent to cry on command!!
 
I just do not know. I do not get it at all. He doesn't get it at all. My husband doesn't get it at all. This is not that complicated.

I hesitate to contact any other vendors that work with them that I know because I bid this out through them also and really don't want to make them feel bad that I went with another vendor. Yknow? But this is ludicrous.

I really want a good solid explanation. I want to know why this isn't going well. Why they don't take me seriously. Why they don't make this any way a priority. Why do I have to wait in line for my issues after any other job? I shouldn't be put at the end of the line when I have an issue. I should be #1 top dog and get it done and out the door.

I think part of why I am so surprisingly "calm" about this, uncharacteristic of myself, is because I expected it. It's seriously happened EVERY SINGLE TIME for me that I just expect it. I try to stay positive. Hell this time I was SUPER positive til the end when it was late. And then it got here and...eh? Not that great. So I am pretty hesitant at this point.

But I really am at the end. I don't want to do this anymore. I just want my stone back, and to be done.

Speaking of waiting on rings tho...SWANKY! When will Leon be gracing you with your masterpiece!
