This is a very high price for the state of this bag, and I would not buy a bag that I know had had third-party repairs.

At that price I believe you can find a better bag than this one.

Crazy cheap can’t be anywhere near 9000, it should be 6000 and under I believe depending on size, and look much better than it looks now, as if no one had touched it.

Take a look at auctions - you see that bags that have been worked on by others go for much less. Look at the heritage auctions website, look at past luxury accessories sales for the prices. Some were sold very cheap because of third-party repairs.

I think you can get one around that price used from dandan Wang. I haven’t bought from this reseller, but I see he/she has many bags around that price that look better than that. This person is in Canada.

I bought bags at good prices from Facebook group - hermes buy/sell/trade by Marco clo, but you need to do a lot of diligence there (only buying from seller with stellar reviews in the group, asking for updated references etc.)

I took a closer look at your suggestions, but I can't find this dandan Wang, do they have a website..? 🙏😊

For me, being a European (Finland) everything that is shipped from outside of EU will cost me.....*drumroll* first +3% customs fees on top of the price, and then on top of that sum +25.5% in VAT 😒 So I'm drooling over all deals overseas, stuck with what is available in Europe 😆 Of course, if something is a very good deal overseas, I could consider paying all those extras.
There is that Bruun Rasmussen or similar name (action house in Denmark) and I saw some bags there in the past that did not sell for the opening bid and they were available for purchase after for that price plus auction house fees.

I heard Norway, Sweden have similar auction houses and that the prices are generally lower than they would be in auction houses in the U.S., London. You might want to look into that.

You can find some deals on Vestiaire Collective too, but again need to pay attention.

Repairs at the Spa take long and are expensive. To change the panel on a Constance 18 chevre, for example, costs 3720, more than 1/3 of the price of the bag.

I don’t know, you would need to ask him/her, I know you can search by name in the group and can send a message and ask.

Also ask Carly (Carlyjuliasellsstuff is her website) if she is able to find something on your budget. I quite like her, I bought from her and my friend just told me she bought 6 bags from her too.

My friend also recommended ADIng corp. I believe is the name in the group.

Hi!
I’m planning on going to Paris in July. While I’ll attempt to get a leather appointment, I know it’s a huge reach. However I would still like to purchase a Hermes bag while I’m there as I’ll be celebrating a milestone birthday. Are there any reputable vintage stores that sell a good selection of quality Hermes bags? If I’m unable to get a new bag from the store, I’d like to look for a vintage Kelly instead.

Thanks

I like collector square, not on the cheap side but friendly and professional service, nice showroom close to Hermes Sevres and experts working there. Bought and sold a few bags with them.

Seconding Collector Square; also ReSee. Catherine B and Vintage Paris you can trust for authenticity but get mixed reviews for friendliness (I actually like the people at Catherine B, but I am apparently alone in that!). Voyages at Paul Bert-Serpette is incredible if you're a collector.

You're not alone! My DH and I spent ages in Les Trois Marches, I'd had a browse (and was ready to leave) my DH and the gentleman in the shop would not stop talking.. for what felt like hours!! Very friendly. I've spoken to Catherine before on Instagram too and she was lovely

I would add “do EXTREME diligence” in that group. The group itself regularly shares stories of purchases made from members that turned out to be fraudulent. Do NOT be swayed by just the so-called references… if you look further, you’ll see that some of these profiles have no friends/posts/online activity and are likely fake profiles made up just to prop up the main seller profile.

I bought three bags in cash in person, and the receipts were on their names and you could verify by simple google search that they were not resellers, had great jobs and were just selling bags from their own collections.

The others were from Carly Julia and she takes credit cards for an additional fee and has her own website too, she has a good reputation and even some collectors source with her, so in my case I felt comfortable that she would offer a full refund if the bags were not real. She also included bbb certificate with each bag, she insures in full shipments with third-party insurer and sends bags with air tags. Every time I am looking for a bag, I go first to her.

I've been dealing with a very reputable auction house lately, and honestly I have been a bit shocked that there is a lot they don't know. The person I've been dealing with didn't know anything about CITES, despite having many exotic bags on direct sale. The person to go back ask the consigner for CITES, and out of a bunch of bags, only three had them. Then you read their terms and conditions, and they only cover the bag for 5 years if it is fake.

Due diligence is very important. I am against sending wire for bag. I would rather fly to pick it up in person if high amount. If a deal sounds too good to be true, be aware.

Also do reverse google search for photos.

This is exactly what I found in my research with luxxfinder. Her great customer who she referred me to for reference was her lol. She lied about when confront until I sent her a screenshot of her Venmo profile with an email address that included that name…

Not sure this is the correct thread, but I want to buy this bag that has been on resale for two years.

The bag does not have CITES, and that is far from ideal for me because I spent around 6 months abroad every year, but I love that bag and I just want it. It is not a very smart decision, I know. 😅

Does anyone know what is the current price in store for a B20 alligator? And also what was the price in 2023? I have been looking and can’t find store prices.

I also would like to know how much market value does a bag lose if it does not have CITES.

I want to make an offer. They haven’t been able to sell for $63,500.

Thank you ❤️

Retail price is ~ $35k. $63k would be an amazing price as they typically go for over $80k on resale. I would imagine that the lack of CITES is already heavily factored in. I'd actually put it in the too good to be true bucket and worry about fraund/scams/replicas.

Thank you so much❤️, she said they’ve had the bag for 2 years and had reduced the price to that amount about a year ago. She was shocked I asked about the CITES, saying generally most buyers don’t care about it and that they price the bags based on year and condition, not considering if they have CITES.

She also has had a MK for sale in the same color, no CITES, for $48k for a year or so.

She mentioned vert d’eau in her experience doesn’t resell well because people find it hard to match the color with outfits, and at that price point people prefer to spend more and get a more neutral color, as havane or black for B20.

Agree re auction houses
am against sending wire for bag
Agree 💯

Yes, this ^

However, I don’t buy from individual sellers (including Facebook or instagram); auction houses; or any entity that requires wire transfer and that doesn’t have a return policy.
