Hi you all, i have been a Chanel girl up until now but decided to start my H Journey. I have two questions:

1) what is the difference between Epsom and Epsom Sellier in …say a B30? It is a 1000 Euro difference as far as i unterstand for the Same size
2) i am based in Austria and have Heard only absolutely horrible things about H Vienna….does anybody have an idea how i could Build my profil….should i try with Vienna anyway…or better try in Paris? next big store is in Milano e.g. Or in Munich.

thx so much for the possibility to ask my noob questions

Sellier is usually a style which used to be rigide unless you're talking about Rouge Sellier colour. There are other things called seller like their buttons but it's all a nod to the craftsmanship.

Epsom is a leather type of pressed leather

We have thread on Vienna in the Shopping sub

I mentioned in a previous post that my SA has become super unresponsive and as a result I was thinking of moving my wish list to another store. He basically ignores my requests for non bag items. On another thread I was advised to leave my wish as it was due to expire in 12 weeks. But do you think it would okay for me to email my original SA to ask if i could amend my wish as I’m not keen on the bag I originally requested? Or is that a complete no no? I just feel I have nothing to lose given that our working relationship has pretty much come to an end. And I have little to no expectation of receiving my wish.

Absolutely amend the wishlist since you won't want the bag if it does come...what would be the point of leaving a request for something you don't want?

If you don't get a response, you can always go on a shopping spree in another store or with another SA :)

Thanks so much! That’s sounds like sound advice- I have nothing to lose at this point. And I am planning on splurging at a different boutique next month!

I've been invited by Hermès to their Milan Design Week event to explore the new Maison collections. I got an invite by email from the corporate Maison PR director and wondered if they would arrange travel to attend this event?

The email doesn't include much information apart from the date, time and location.

The only times a third party company paid for my travel and stay were when they were having me cover their products for media & press purposes. If you are press or an "influencer" I would say maybe (but usually that would be mentioned as part of the invitation). If you are attending as an individual to buy I would assume not...but I'm not invited to places in such a capacity as a shopper so I have no first hand experience to base my assumption on. ;-)

I thought this was a mass marketing email, although the sender shows as a specific individual. Are the initials BR and it includes a link to make an appointment on https://web.digitick.com/? If you have the same email as me, totally possible yours is different, then I would say they are likely not to arrange travel.

Hello ladies, hoping someone is able to answer this question. I am located in the US. I know that generally leather goods, slgs, other bags, etc do not count towards spend (or count very little) for a quota bag but was wondering if this is still the case for exotic slgs?’ For example an alligator kelly wallet? Please let me know your experience thank you!’

Stores vary. Ask your SA directly...it's good to get to the place where 1) they know you care and are sensitive about their "take" 2) they know you understand about building a profile and are savvy 3) they can then be frank with you.

Question: Pre-Covid, Could one walk into a Hermès store and just look around and browse? Or does an SA immediately try to discourage that?
Pre covid, it was like any other store. You could just walk in and look around, though most items were under glass so you still needed an SA to help eventually (and then there were complaints about busy stores and just standing around by the counter waiting for an SA to notice and attend to you). I once walked into a busy H store on a Saturday afternoon, made it all the way to the back of the upper floor, tried on a display sandal, walked around in it a bit hoping to catch an SAs attention, didn’t succeed so after ten minutes put the sandal back on the shelf and left. No one said a word to me the entire time, despite the B25 on my arm. Times have changed and I’m not sure if they’ll ever fully go back to what they were.

thanks acrowcounted. The last time I was in Hermès was years ago and there was an SA right by the entrance who, while quite friendly, I felt it would be weird to just browse. Have had that experience at another luxury store too, it’s like they want to know why you are there, immediately.
But maybe that’s just life? When you need an SA they’re nowhere to be found and when you just kind of want to take your time and look, there they are! :oh:
